What's new

Rolling Thunder, The JF-17 experience.

. . .
In KSA earlier this year

Can be possibility if US was also participating in that maneuver in KSA as Hornets aint owned by KSA.

Let the PLAAF add them First....
One thing more the J-20 is a non-export version......They will offer the world their J31 Fighter......

JF-17 was custom designed and made as per PAF's requirements and it is not necessary that PLAAF requirements do match with PAF's too. It is understood by the simple fact that after J-10 PLAAF had only gone for twin engine heavies and had said bye bye to new single engine fighters for now. Why shud we even be asking them to induct Thunder on first place? But for sake of publicity and marketing? Yes seems only valid reason for China.

. . .
Yes for sure ... I can't think that the guys at CAC let any foreigner come to that bird too close.

Hi,

I donot know know why would they leave two J10B's in pakistan last year.

Probably due to two reasons:

1. the J-20 is a very different league of aircraft regardless any friendship.

2. the J-10B is indeed slated for export - in contrary to the J-20 - so it is not unlikely.

By the way, is there a confirmation of only a rumour for this visit ?

Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing. At a glance the Thunder and the Viper look very similar.
