They have just started working on them man, it doesn't happen over a night. They will definitely make it, the important hing is to have the ambition and determination they work with. Even the US with all it's tech, money and professional manpower spent several years on developing THAAD and other stuff.

Dude, This project aims to develop SAM FAMILY which is going to be deployed on Land and Naval platforms as a rival of Raytheon ESSM and European Iris or Mica VL or RBS-70 systems technologically. The family contains MANPAD, Low and Medium Altitude SAM systems, their command-control systems, communications, electro-optic/radars all togather. Design and development budgets of those programs reach almost 1 billion $. Similar technologies will be applied for two AA missile programs as well.

and As far as I know, In terms of technological advancement and ambitious level, Turkey is sole Muslim majority country which is able to DESIGN, DEVELOP and MANUFACTURE those complex systems togther.
