Rohingya among 4 Terror Suspects in Malaysian Custody

Burma is not in E Asia.

Japan, Korea and Vietnam look to US for leadership and not China.

Come back when you are serious.

PS - Do not call poor Rohingya as terrorists as the only terrorists is Barmans.

It is in the ASEAN, so it is in East Asia.

I do not call no entire groups as terrorist. But, there is a clear threat of terrorism in certain areas/groups.

Myanmar is a state and is responsible to ensure security and development interests of all people living in the country.

continue with part II, the rest of the terrorists captured.

Three fugitive terrorists nabbed

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested three Islamic State (IS) militants including two bomb experts in Kedah and Selangor.

Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Abdul Hamid Bador said this followed the arrests of four militants belonging to the IS “wolf pack” terror cell recently.

He said the men – two Malaysians and an Indonesian – were arrested by the Counter Terrorism Division on Tuesday.

“The Malaysians – Muhammad Syazani Mahzan and Muhamad Nuurul Amin Azizan – were picked up in Kuala Muda.

“Both suspects, aged 27, went for training to make bombs in Jogjakarta in 2018 with militant Muhammad Izham Razani who was arrested in November last year,” he said in a statement.

Abdul Hamid said the training was conducted by Jemaah Ansharut Daulah Indonesia.

“They learned how to make Triacetone triperoxide.

“Both suspects also cased a few churches in Jogjakarta for potential targets.

“Muhammad Syazani had also planned to target a non-Muslim house of worship in Malaysia via a suicide bomb attack,” he said.

Triacetone triperoxide is a homemade explosive that can be easily manufactured from readily accessible reagents and is extremely difficult to detect.

Abdul Hamid said the Indonesian, identified as Nuruddin Alele@Fatin Tir, was arrested in Banting.

“He was introduced to the Islamic State’s ideology when he was incarcerated for five years in Surabaya.

“As per the order received from his terror cell, he also planned to launch attacks on non-Muslim houses of worship in the Klang Valley,” said Abdul Hamid, adding that the three were detained under Security Offences Special Measures (Sosma) 2012.

According to sources, only the Indonesian militant belonged to the wolf pack while the Malaysians had links but belonged to another cell.It was reported on Monday that four members of the IS wolf pack cell were detained in Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley.

They were planning to assassinate four VIPs and target non-Muslim houses of worship in the Klang Valley as well as entertainment outlets.

Six improvised explosive devices were also seized during the raids along with a CZ9mm pistol and 15 bullets.

SEA (Malaysia and Indonesia) would be best served if they indeed took extreme caution and no tolerance toward religious terrorism. I feel, those extreme ideas are freely floating into SEA and there has been radicalization in certain segments.

That's a major threat to economic and political development of the region as a whole.

The IS agenda in South East Asia is to radically Islamise Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, South Thailand and South Philippines.

I have seen the changes of Malaysia Muslims from 1960, 1970 .. to present. Every decade they clothing and social behaviours changed slow and steady towards Arabization, mainly influenced by the political Pan Islamic Party PAS, whose goal is to ultimately turn Malaysia into an Islamic state that is ruled by Muslim leaders only and to change our Federal Civil Law to Muslim Sharia Law.

I actually miss the tradition Malay clothes and local social living styles ( songs and dance, and the great Malay actor P Ramli movies) of 1980s and before.

This is how radical Islamic ideology penetrates -- by changing the way people traditionally dress, eat and spend their leisure time.

They create a strong narrative of do's and don'ts especially starting with women.

So, just as radicalization starts with women, de-radicalization also should start with women.

Obviously, as all hold texts refers to god in masculine form (he), organized religions (especially non-reformed Islam) first targets women, subdues and subjugates them through male domination.

If god were referred as feminine (she), then, she would ask men to cover their heads and bodies because women would be sexually aroused.

To kill radicalization, promote secularization through women's education liberation.

Hopefully, Myanmar (and other SEA nations facing Islamic terrorism threat), as it fights terrorism militarily, also initiates de-radicalization efforts, starting with women.

Their language is essentially chittagong dialect.

This whole issue is from incomplete partition.

There is reason for example when poland was given final borders it has today (by the allies of WW2 essentially)....all the germans (and can be simply delineated by language spoken) living in the new borders of poland were kicked out forcefully. Russia also kicked out poles from the areas they absorbed (that were formerly poland).

Something like this was never done w.r.t Burma regarding borders british assigned to them during their rule in the area and then they just left it as is when they left area.

So its a lingering issue.

As for kachin and others, they are fundamentally seen as Burmese...their language is in burmese language family I believe. Not indo-aryan one like rohingya language. The genetics and culture difference just lay over on top of this.

Sometimes people so different cannot live together well if you give enough time...it is just how it is. Look how yugoslavia tore itself apart. Lot of countries do not want that fate as you can understand.
You cannot compare the Rohingya issue with Yugoslavia, Bangladesh during 1971, former Soviet Union or any other country which disintegrated. The case is absolutely different. First of all No country in the world is interested to confront Myanmar. Then Myanmar has numerous allies who are willing to protect Myanmar at all cost, Lastly the Rohingya genocide is a well calculated plan and the generals of the Myanmar army knows what they are doing and anticipated the consequences of their actions long ago.
