We don't have any pet event from today (or should I say yesterday) swimming. Of the 4 gold, we are technically only ever remotely aiming for 4x100 meter rely.

100 Women Butterfly would not be an Aussie fight to begin with, it's always between Vollmer and Sjostrom from the beginning (2012 Olympic Gold vs Current World Champs)

400 Women Freestyle is very much predicted to be Katie Ledecky, Tamsin Cook is a rookie, Jess Ashwood didn't have the time to challenge it from qualifier from the beginning.

We don't have a man in 100 meters men's breaststroke

The one that we could at least aiming on getting really close is the 4x100 relay, but the US team just basically outswim everybody.

Well, should have been 3:2 but the USA goalie was just amazing, she saved 3 Penalty Corner, and 1 certain goal, but she just come out of nowhere and block all those.

Women's rugby sevens in Australia was given a kick-start when the sport was announced as part of the Rio Games in 2009.

The Australian Rugby Union began to invest more heavily in the women's program, with talent identification camps following the 2012 London Olympics used as part of preparations for Rio.

Several of the gold medal-winning squad joined the program following these camps, coming from sports such as rugby league, touch football, athletics and basketball.

It was centralised in Sydney in 2014 and this played a key role in Australia's Olympic victory and the claiming of the world series crown.

Parry, one of the longest-serving members of Australia's squad, described winning gold as an "incredible" feeling.

"I'm excited and very elated about what we have achieved here," she said.

"It's been a big year for us and I'm looking forward to the following year."

Australia coach Tim Walsh expressed pride in what his players had achieved, especially in the circumstances of the final where they trailed 5-0 early in the first half.

They fought back to lead 10-5 at half-time and 24-5 late in the match, before the outclassed New Zealand scored two consolation tries.

Great show by the swimmers after the dismal show in London and all the controversy surrounding after

Rugby gold for the girls history made but dame poor show by the guys yesterday getting knocked out in the quarters by the Saffas, Wallabies need a overhaul both in the 15's and 7's

Japan well may make history if they go on to the finals today against Fiji, Tough task but hey they kicked out the All Blacks from the tournament.. Super awesome for Asian Rugby, And with the RWC hosted by Japan in 2019.. The Brave blossoms have now beaten the Saffa's in Union and the AB's in the 7's

Hockyroo's need a strong showing for the Gold.. I dont see a reason for them not to win it

So, the king as fallen, or rather, the self proclaim king has fallen.

Was expecting to see Mack beat Sun Yang, but I think that's not gonna happen........Sun Yang did not even qualify.

Kind of disappointed if you ask me.
