Show me one verse in Quran where it is stated that those who commit "blasphemy" should be killed. if that would have been the case then that woman would have been killed who was used to throw trash on Last Prophet (PBUH) but the Prophet (PBUH) went to inquire about her health when one day while passing from her street there was no trash thrown on him and he came to know that she was sick that was the reason

Religion must not preach violence.. Even if preach Violence, the followers must understand that It was barbaric Medival age when Violence was justified. The religion must be reformed What was true when religion was formed may not be true now....

Your point was effectively made, but some of the misconceptions are troubling.

Gandhi was not killed by his own Hindu extremists, but by Hindu extremists. He had always opposed them throughout his political career. When you say that they were 'his' Hindu extremists, you are simultaneously insulting him and all that he stood for, and showing a lack of knowledge of the facts in question.

Also, there was no need to bring in the comment maker's 'own Hindu mythology and religious texts' to make your point, and reduce yourself to arguing at his level. I say this as an agnostic.
