Rifle Origin

.
The AK-47 and it's variants are produced in over 20 countries(Military Versions). It's hard to tell the origin.

You can start by telling us where you bought this from.

Why is your finger on the trigger?
You must train your finger to stay outside the trigger guard
even if the mag is empty.

As for origin, you have to look at the markings if there are any
for the safe/fire lever , under the front sight, or on the side of the
front trunnion ( on the left hand side).
If you have this in pakistan, most likely it is russian or chinese.

You alos might want to consider putting the muzzle break on the barrel
to reduce recoil somewhat.

Thanks for the advice but that is neither my picture nor my gun. A friend had brought it to me for inspection. The finish certainly looks foreign and with millions of copies, who knows where it could be made. As for the factory markings they are certainly Russian but again those markings can be forged by anyone. Thanks to some people, we can never be sure if anything in Pakistan is original these days.

bro, It seem fine....................... It does seem like it is full auto because there are 3 pins that are visible . the receiver is Milled as opposed to Stamped( stamped receiver is basically 1mm metal sheet that is bent via a hydraulic press and then heat treated) and earlier Russian AKS3 were all milled receivers. ( they take a piece of metal and scrape of the metal. this takes a very long time
as imagine working with a solid rectangle of metal !
In the US , just the milled receiver is around 300.00 . where as a stamped receiver is like $ 60-80.00

What you have is a true AK47 unless it is a great copy.

This marking ( arrow in triangle mark) shows the AK was made in Russian Izhevsk weapons factory)

I thought the Chinese never made milled receivers for AK.
You see that rectangle dimple on the receiver? you cant have that
on a stamped receiver as the sheet is not thick enough as it would
need to be pressed in. I just got done pressing a stamped receiver for my build( perfectly legal to make a rifle from parts in the USA)
The marking, unless fake is also russian.

KB Good job bro...................
Here we dont really see Norinco Ak's, very rare.
Mostly we know about eastern european and russian AKs.
However, the markings, the color or the furniture, esp laminated
pistol grip, selector markings , muzzle end point to russian origin.
personally I will not buy the chinese. Actually, I prefer Romanian Ak's
as the barrels are typically chrome lined and somewhat cheaper.
However, ever since Mr Obama.. the prices have gone up .

You can see mine( in pieces for now) here: Picture number 15.
It is a semi-automatic AK. The other 3 pictures are my AR15
before( the middle in black) and after ( 1st & 3rd ) after changing
the forarm, stock, grip and painting it in Flat earth color.
