A well place hit would have brought down ANY chopper, not just Chinook.Exactly, MANPADS are an emerging threat for troop transport helicopters.
The question is not whether or not we should make helicopter immune to MANPAD fire, the question is rather how do you eliminate that threat before you went in.
The focus should be how you can clean the LZ before moving in. Enemy suppression is the key and there are probably no one does that better than US Army Aviation.
Pretty obvious the person you talk to know nothing about Military......much less maneuverable? says who? do you even know the meaning of the word maneuverable?
He once ask why we do not see "Battalion" size battle in Ukraine........when the Russian base unit is "Battalion Tactical Group"
