The cars were for real.... and the Raptors were imaginary; unless he brought two Raptor Dinosaur models from Funskool Toys to sleep with at night. :D

Republic Day Parade – 2015 Awards Announced; Brigade of Guards Regiment & Sikh Regiment Adjudged Joint Winners of Marching Contingent Amongst Services
The results of different competitive presentation in the Republic Day Parade – 2015 have been announced by the Ministry of Defence.

Among the Services category, Brigade of Guards Regiment and Sikh Regiment were jointly adjudged the best marching contingents in the Republic Day Parade – 2015. In the category of Para-Military Forces and other auxiliary marching contingents, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) contingent has been adjudged the best contingent.

In the tableaux category, in total 25 tableaux including nine from Union Ministries / Departments took part in the Republic Day Parade – 2015, out of which first position has gone to Maharashtra Tableau, which depicted “Wari to Pandharpur” (the pilgrimage to Pandharpur). While Jharkhand tableau on “Maluti Temples” was adjudged the second best, third position has gone in favour of Karnataka Tableau based on famous Channapatna Toys.

While, in the competitive category of school children items the “Daang Dance” of Gujarat presented by West Zone Cultural Centre, Udaipur (Rajasthan) has been adjudged the best, a Consolation Prize was awarded to South Central Zone Cultural Centre, Nagpur (Maharashtra) for their beautiful portrayal of “Lezim Dance” of Maharashtra. The Tableau presented by the CPWD giving a majestic floral depiction of “Gaumukh” also has been selected for a Special Prize by the Jury.

As in previous years, this year also Ministry of Defence had appointed three panels of judges for assessing the marching contingents from three Services, Para-Military Forces and tableaux from various States/ Ministries/Departments and School Children items from Schools of Delhi as well as outside Delhi. The panels of judges today announced their results here. All these above winning contingents, tableaux and schools will be awarded trophies and prizes by the Defence Minister later in separate functions organised by the Ministry of Defence.

The ceremony performed every year on the evening of January 29 by the three wings of the Indian military marks the end of Republic Day festivities.
