Last time we signed a truce, the shaitans were just a few kilometers away from Islamabad running their dominion in Swat. Come on, dude. The only solution is: ERADICATION.

For that to happen, we would need to invade and take over Kunar and Nuristan. We have eradicated them from Pakistan because that's our territory, but TTP cannot be eradicated unless we take over Kunar and Nuristan. As long as they shelter in these Afghan provinces, they can build their strength and keep attacking Pakistani targets.

There is no easy solution here. Truce/Peace with the TTP is less costly then invading Nuristan and Kunar. And lets say we do invade those provinces, what's to say TTP wouldn't pick up their arms and shift to another Afghan Province.

Having a truce from a position of strength is not a bad deal. We cant keep giving our soldiers away like this just to satisfy PDF lust for blood. We are in a position of strength right now and having a peace deal would be good.

To people saying this is surrender. No this is not. IRA laid down its arms in 98 and there has been peace in UK esp northern Ireland. That doesnt mean British gov surrendered to them.

Truce with TLP, truce with TTP, tomorrow there will be truce with ISIS. TTP will use this opportunity to release all the prisoners that took years of efforts and many sacrifices to catch in the first place. Its a betrayal with the lives of those who sacrificed their lives.
This will lead to popping up of new terrorist organizations, and unrealistic demands. We have gone down the road of negotiations with TTP before and seen how their demands keep swelling. If this donkey becomes PM again, im afraid he will destroy Pakistan in ways that zardari and nawaz couldnt.

A simple question? How many of you know the dynamics of the TTP uprising and what are the difficulties in countering them?
I ask this question as it seems none of you have actually studied the Afghan war, its implications on the tribal belt, the resistence and how it has transpired and developed into TTP.
Once I know how much you know I will try and explain why it is so important to batten these doors down and why the time for this is NOW.

Shame. TTP is responsible for high level terrorist acts in Pakistan, murdered innocent Muslims, armed forces, ISI agents and collaborated with foreign agencies, accused our army and people of being mushriks and believed jihad is halal against them as they are kafir (similar to some PDF members beliefs) but our government is negotiating truce with them.
