Zia, I have got to respectfully disagree with you, the judiciary, police , bank reforms etc can only stand a chance of happening if pakistan gets real leadership who does away with this sham of democracy. As I've stated a Putin type of leader in a presidential style system or benevolent dictatorship who has a very firm grip on law and order. Such a individual might stand a chance of carrying out the reforms you mentioned otherwise it's just a repeat of the same in various shades of the past 70 odd years.

why do you think donald trump got quiet all of sudden after calling election foul..it was the establishment telling him this is a red line and that they will not accept a coup d'état..

what pakistani establishment needs to do is set similar redlines..saying state bank, judiciary is off limits

i disagree that you will not find a single professional person in pakistan to be a good judge or state bank leader..problem is poltical interference which was pushed and accepted by the establishment to counter PPPP..

establishment created the mess out of the fear of PPPP..

all it had to do was to make red lines rather then engnr a friendly govt

As I have stated before splitting sindh won't really resold anything but will give the likes of PPP more ammo to start blackmailing the state with the usual sindhdesh card. That's why I have said that democracy has not and will not sadly work in a country like pakistan. What pakistan needs is a Putin type of leader who is in charge of the country whether a presidential style system or benevolent dictatorship but civilian of course with strong emphasis on law and order. In the absence of this you will carry on having what you have for the last 70 odd years but I don't think pakistan can survive 7 more decades of ethnic based parties coupled with a population that is unwilling to pay tax. And withou tax revenue you can't run a nation without having to go to world bank, IMF etc.

Dividing Punjab and Sindh should be the ultimate goal of the state. State wants to divide Punjab but they are not ready to divide Sindh beause they dont want to give power to Urban Sindh Lead by Karachi as it reduces the power of Islamabad and Pindi against Karachi due to its Economic strength. PPP cant do shit infact if Urban SIndh's population increases more than rural Sindh then PPP would be the first to divide Sindh. Establishment needs to trust its People and should not be afraid Urban Sindhis. It will be the betterment of Pakistan.
