Renewable energy projects worth Rs 30,000 crore being implemented in Madhya Pradesh

Are you to say that Indian manufacturing of Solar is on such a scale that it's out pacing the rest of world? Including Germany who are leading technology into photo voltaic solar?
We're talking about 'installing' not 'manufacturing'!

Coal is the cheapest form of energy, just because you spend more on renewable doesn't make it better.

Our politicians don't seem to understand this either, and passed a law banning the construction of coal power plants after one adverse environmental study. What the study doesn't seem to take into account is the cost factor, coals is by far the most economical.

all the links were provided in the thread.in india unit cost of coal power ranges from 4-5 rupees and solar power is about 5.5 -7 rupees per unit.it came down from 17 rupees to the current cost and will further decrease as its use and efficiency increase.we have huge solar potential and our govt is trying to tap it.
