MUNICH, Germany, May 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Shanghai Aerospace Automobile Electromechanical Co., Ltd ("HT-SAAE"), the world's leading manufacturer of photovoltaic (PV) products, has stepped up efforts in distributing green energy to countries throughout Europe and the US by adding a manufacturing base in Turkey, the operation of which began at the beginning of this year.

The move is line with China's Belt and Road Initiative, which proposes to strengthen China's economic ties with Eurasian countries along the Silk Road Economic Belt and the Maritime Silk Road running through Southeast Asia and East Africa.

HT-SAAE’s New PV Factory in Turkey
The Turkey factory will produce 300MW of PV cells and 600MW of PV modules, and will bring some 500 job opportunities to the country. It has already secured supply deals amounting to over 300MW with customers from Turkey, Europe and the United States. "We chose Turkey as the home for our overseas facility for its location and booming PV market. As a transcontinental country in Eurasia, it is like a corridor through which we can get to both Europe and the United States," said Ruan Zhongli, vice president of PV business at HT-SAAE.

Earlier in 2012, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation ("CASC"), HT-SAAE's parent company, successfully launched an observation satellite for Turkey. The establishment of the Turkey factory saw an extension of the cooperation between China and Turkey from aerospace products to the solar industry. The factory enables HT-SAAE to bring high-quality PV technologies and products to the end market in the country and surrounding regions and offer green energy to the residents.

The PV modules and cells produced by HT-SAAE, which can be widely used in residential, commercial and utility-scale power generation, stand out in the PV industry as it has leveraged almost 60 years' experiences of its parent company CASC in developing solar energy technologies and high-efficiency solar products. In addition, HT-SAAE has developed a completely integrated PV industry supply chain (polysilicon, wafers, solar cells, PV modules & systems) for PV products with an output capacity of GW level, which can create and maintain a consistency of quality throughout the production process.

With its advantages in product quality, HT-SAAE will provide more and better PV product options to the local and regional market. The future of HT-SAAE's expansion journey to Europe, as observed by Mr. Ruan, is quite bright. "The PV market in Europe is very mature and well-developed. We will keep exploring and expand the market there in the future."

HT-SAAE will bring several of its PV module breakthroughs to Intersolar Europe, the world's leading exhibition for the solar industry, which will take place from May 31 to June 2 in Munich.

After starting operations early in 2017, the Turkey-based factory of Shanghai Aerospace Automobile Electromechanical Co., Ltd (“HT-SAAE”) has already secured solar orders for more than 300 MW with customers from Turkey, Europe and the United States.

“We chose Turkey as the home for our overseas facility for its location and booming PV market.” said Ruan Zhongli, vice president of PV business at HT-SAAE. “As a transcontinental country in Eurasia, it is like a corridor through which we can get to both Europe and the United States.”

In Turkey, solar hopes remain high. Following 230% YoY growth with 571 MW of new solar PV systems added in 2016, expectations from BNEF are that the country’s cumulative capacity could be increased by 1 GW this year.

The Chinese manufacturer’s Turkey plant is expected to produce 300MW of PV cells and 600MW of PV modules annually, and bring some 500 jobs opportunities to the country.

This week, HT-SAAE is attending Intersolar Europe in Munich, where it has brought several of its PV module breakthroughs.

And they're succesful. Chinese and Korean companies will compete in Turkey. That's good.

Forget this expensive crap. You need just to obey tsar putin and become an energy hub of the world. Russia can build pipe lines. Nuclear plants, we can sell you crude oil by the billion tons. You just need petrochemie investment from china. Stop importing that expensive german chit.

Germans will vanish in less than a decade when they have no customers left. They will vanish like shit in the toilett.

You know nothing . Next Government tender will be finished at 27.07.2017 for 1 GW wind power.
Chinese GoldwindGlobal will get it - for minus market prices . They will invest in Turkey as Korea does in PV.
It is a smart and difficult commercial calculation.

Northel has 2,6MW windmill as well in their website, but it's still in R&D and not ready.

Now I'm curious. There is no doubt that we're latecomers to this windmill party, but how is it manufactured, how much do we buy from abroad and how many % of it is produced in Turkey ?

Unless it's 100% made in Turkey, even the screws, then I don't see this leading anywhere. (I exaggerated on the screw part by you get my drift).

They're researching 2,6MW, but I'm sure Siemens already has 3 MW windmills. (I recall reading about it somewhere).

Northel is producing wings and body, also desings electronic architecture, ASELSAN is producing rest of the electronics/softwares inside of it. There is no exact knowledge of percentage of imports but it wouldnt be much.
