Expats have started increasing their remittances after the ancien regime was restored! Perhaps they reject the canard of "imported govt"?

sending money to country has nothing to do with who is in power......

As per PDF it was supposed to fall but here we are seeing the opposite.
there is no reason to fall, govt is stable and political difference is part of good democracy every thing happening and happened in Pakistan is a sign of strong democracy.

Remittance figures have a knock on effect. The rate of growth will go down. This will be reflected in a few months time.

Eid and Bakra Eid are a time when remittances are high.

.
It was Ramadan and Eid season so remmittance was bound to increase. Ramzan always result in huge zakat donations.

Surprisingly Gulf inflow is flat and EU / US / UK driving growth,
Jis thali ke expats khana dete hain , pakistani citizens usi thali ko gali dete hain :P
Not everyone shits in the same plate they eat from.
God bless the USA
Pakistan zindabad.

No.
Remittances risen due to Eid. Most Pakistani send more money to Pakistan to their families to take care of extra Eid Expenses for them.

I can give my personal example.
I send my Zakat to Pakistan in Ramdan/Eid.
I send my Fitrana and charity to Pakistan in Ramadan/Eid time.
I send money to all my close people as Eid Expense, including to the children.

I am sure this is repeated all accross the spectrum by overseas Pakistanis.

2 core factors:
1. Eid (mostly send more money because of Eid-ul-Fitr)
2. Rupee de-valuation

Yes, rupee devaluation is a good reason. I always assumed this during PTI period as well. How does this remittance compare to same month last year? :pop:

Bro, Rupee devaluation doesn't matter that much, the figures are in Dollar terms, so how much it is in Rupees is irrelevant, neither it makes any difference to Balance of Payment or Current Account.
