How you are saying its a turning point ? . What i feel is you are still not happy with the progress on lots of stuff related to SF

The change is slow but 26/11 changed a lot of things.The top brass started giving preference to SF in budget,mordernisation and strategy.

In the past Indian SF was used like shock troops.Now there is a lot of change with that and hell lot of improvement in training..so much so that the recent NSG raising day video impressed me.

The things which keep me unhappy are the pace of modernisation and the establishment of a joint command.

Ya what i pray not to happen is we should not take something like a whopping 60 hours to complete any complex operations like 26/11 . I hope the training you talked about fine-tunes our SFs to perform way better than what they did earlier

It's extremely unfair to criticise the time the NSG took to complete the operation. Firstly the 60 hour figure is a misrepresentation of the facts- the last terrorist had been killed many many hours before that but the 60 hour mark was when the NSG has swept all 3 locations throughly and declared them 100% clear (no IEDs, no more terrorists). Leave aside the 10 hours it took to get the NSG to Mumbai (that would not happen again) the task that confronted them was unbelievably massive and unprecedented- 1000s of rooms to be cleared, an unknown number of terrorists etc etc. Many police units around the world admitted they'd have struggled to confront the situation too.
