If sole criteria is money making why do Engineering at first, try doing some business, even a punjabi dhabba with bar license owners earns as much as 10 Btech students! money is short term interest, long term is what u really wanna do! moreover in today's world having a Master's degree is imperative. Doesn't look nice wife with Masters degree and a husband with Bachelor degree,

There is one more good course for computer guys, its called CDAC.

I would say if u can make a multi threaded distributed file sync application such as Drop box/ Sugar Sync that shd be sufficient use Java/Rest Apis.

BTW if u look into my earlier posts I was much more inclined towards MS from US! and I did tell him MS from US is better than MTech from India
and far as pay scale goes a fresh MS guy can easily make $85k pa here provided he/she gets a job!
