Religion, what is it?

I believe that religion started out with paganism. It was the respect people had towards nature and the things that helped in their sustenance. But later on, the same thing started being used to subdue people. That I believe is from where the term 'God-Fearing' came from.
PS: I m still a pagan. But I love payasam from the temple near my house and love lighting 101 candles at edapally church

Yes Indian and Pakistani's are very different people. Most of the Indian Youngsters turned to be Athiests like most of the chinese. Pakistani's are a bunch of people who always singing the old song that some one taught, they are refusing to use their own mind.

I believe in ishwar and i do not care if someone believes in ishwar or not....religion should be a personal thing and should not be forced on to someone...

all of you bragging about islam is the fastest growing religion should also understand that with growth of islam there is also growth in tensions within sub sects of islam...this is why i do not believe in avtars and prophets...vedic dharma denies belief in prophets and avtars because it causes hatred among people.

things becomes personal when you do not try to force it onto others and when you do not try to consider others inferior..
you might take pride in islam being the fastest growing religion but that does not hide the fact that sub sects in islam will always be thirsty for each other's blood...

"Religion" will always be personal , if it ever becomes a " complete way of life " --encompassing social , political aspects then it is no longer "religion" per se . It becomes ideology similar to Marxism , Bolshevism , Pan-Arabism etc .

This is true for any religion be it Hinduism , Islam or Evangelism . The moment religion ceases to be purely personal to a devotee and becomes an instrument to govern not just all aspects of his own life but those of the people around him as well , then it resembles and ideology and can be subjected to the same criticisms .

Let beliefs be something personal, we don't need to understand anything about someone elses thinking and should just be happy that they are a good decent human being. There is no God, no religion. If such thing exists why terrorism and innocent killings are happening? If he can't able to stop, then how he can be a god??

I am really proud to say, I am an Athiest and i dont believe in God. God is a thing founded by weak persons to make them feel comfortable, nothing else.

Unfortunately,we live in a world,where we cannot just deny the power of God,irrespective of whether we believe or not.

No Sir we will not be judged only on our good deeds establishing Law of Islam is the main duty of every Muslim and also to stop each and every duty is compulsory and you have to make sure people under you follow Islam Sir Islam is the whole system and to establish this system is duty of every Muslim otherwise he will be doing Kufr

GOD created Religion and than Human and now Human had to follow the Religion and the religion which GOD sent was Islam only
