Reko Diq deal’s 50pc profit must come to Balochistan govt: Akhtar Mengal

i think 50% is less he is being so nice . it must be 70% . stop this sardar sardar BS federal gov and NAB are respomsible for anti corruption . this money must be spent on local people .

read the comments in this thread . for them money go to sardars . then its gov job to stop money to be looted rather then keep people of balochistan in stone ages . make a indipendent balochistan development commission a free gov institution and spend money on people rather then just keep them on marcy of sardars . gov should educate people so they get rid of sardars . where there is no education there is feudalism . but comments in this thread say dont give them money otherwise sardars will take it . then what is the solution ? no one talk about it.
Lol nothing will get made if such high percentages are demanded in a place with violence and bad infrastructure
Talk is cheap

Baloch sardars own royls royce phantoms and claim they dont get their share. These sardars have kept ppl as slaves and only want money and power for themselves. These feudals wont even let schools being built in their area because education would free the ppl.

Yep every region has progressed even Sind which has similar issues. Our poor Baluch live miserable lives because of this modern day slavery.

Its not only about digging it out but investing billions just to get the proper infrastructure for extraction
Its better to just let it be and invest in more peaceful areas of Pakistan

Pakistan neither have billions of $$ to invest/pay penalty and neither expertise to extract gold. Let them come for once and invest in that god forsaken area of Balochistan where not even grass grow. If they setup refinery, train local people etc

35% to Balochistan and 15% to federal is best possible deal. Rest goes to company. This deal is only for like 20% of reko diq mine. Once this is developed then maybe in future Pakistani companies may do the job in rest of the mine.

DEBT IS TAKEN BY STATE OF PAKISTAN : 50 Billion Dollars

The attitude should be let us pay the debt back to zero , and then discuss profit share

Who benefitted
  • Balochistan , new city Gwadar
  • Balochistan , new roads
  • Balochistan , new water plan
  • Balochistan , new airport
  • Balochistan , Labour Jobs
  • Balochistan , water dams (PSDP under Pakistan's own development program)
  • Train and road routes
  • Skilled worker training
KPK
  • Transport systems
  • Road network
  • Economic zones
  • Water Dams
Sindh:
  • Coal Project
  • Nuclear plants extensions for more electricity
  • Train routes
  • Road Routes
  • Transport projects
  • Economic zones
Punjab
  • Energy Projects
  • Road network
  • Train and road routes
  • Transport project
  • Economic zones

First this debt needs to be paid off 100% then the money will get distributed at provincial level once Profits come , passed along in Budget

Pakistan has already invested 50 Billion into all provinces including Baluchistan these idiot politicians need to be told to shut up

Already an agreement has been signed where 25% goes to federal, 25% to provincial and I think the private company takes the rest.

I would prefer a state owned company, run by a private company be setup and the profit split 45:45:10 but we are a nation who don't have the capability to mine gold. If all you can do is donkey work and all you can pay are pennies then everyone else is going to benefit.
State own will run in loss fue to khata hey tu lagata be hey

its not rocket science check videos of dr samar mand mubarak sir . he claimed we can do it .

He didn't elaborated the 50% of profit must come to the Sardars of Balochistan, inlcuding the lions share to Mengals, and rest to Bugtis, Magsis, Marris and all the feudal Sardars who were responsible for the backwardness of balochistan.

Any sane mind will understand that it is not economically possible to supply sui gas to sparsely populated areas of Balochistan, like smaller towns with a population of few thousands, a village with 200 Katcha homes and other areas hundreds of kms apart...talking about economy of scales, earning and sustainability.

The reason Karachi, and Lahore and big urban areas with industry and jobs was supplied natural gas first.

No denying the fact that injustices to province occurred and the main reason was these sardars and the subservient people. Now changing it seems.

The backwardness is due to a mix of terrible policies/late development and, as you've mentioned, usurping by the corrupt sardars.

Liberals only like to mention the former reason; establishment fanboys here like to only mention the latter. The truth is that both have played a role.

whatever it is its result of policies of pakistan as a whole in last 74 years . if paksitan want to fix it then gov can fix it in 10 years .

It is a fair demand to be honest. Pakistan should invest in Baluchistan (Which btw is happening as we discuss) and bring the middle class youth to mainstream. They need better health infra, more jobs, access to clean drinking water and basic necessaties of life. The best way to move forward is not to make any sardar visible, instead federal govern should govern the projects with contractors.

Oh come on. Baloch have been leaches for any empire that has ruled over them. Today they are less than 3% population of Pakistan yet demand 50% of gas profit. Did they invest in the machinery, expertise, manpower, funds etc.. into these projects??? yet who are they to demand any share of profit.

Billions upon billions have been pumped into infrastructure/welfare projects in balochistan since Pakistans creation, yet there is nothing to be shown for it today. I dont think per capita any other province in Pakistan received so many funds... Even UAE did not have such funds available in its inception yet look at it today....

Balochistan has been nothing but a liability for Pakistan, until its culture/feudal system changes that remains. just take a look at these baloch nationalist, 90% of them studied at universities in Punjab yet curse punjabis :D Instead of asking pakistan to do more for them maybe for once they should try to do something for pakistan and be a role model for other provinces. That is when you will see change.

Right now the major issue in Balochistan is to break the Sardar-Communist alliance. To do this Pakistanis have to fight back hard against baloch communist sardars. That is the only way these people will learn their place.

18th Amendment.

Sardar problem is absent in Pukhtun dominated areas (50% of population) and no one asked State of Pakistan to pay sardars and look away when they didn't do anything for the common Baluch. If you notice today, Sardars are not the ones who own the militants, it is the middle class people like Allah Nazar who have more control over militancy.

And no, Pakistan has not pumped billions for Baluchs. The budget for metro train is more than the development budget of whole of Baluchistan.
