Rehbar-1, Pakistan's rocket

We could improve our sector in the space race industry. But I will admit there are more important things than the space race though.

.
What happened after that, we ran out of rocket fuel?
No. SUPARCO has suffered from Administrative and financial drawbacks
Created in 1961 under PAEC.
Given semi autonomy in 1966 but basically handed over to PAF as PAF officers were appointed in Management.
Given complete autonomy in 1981
Plced under National Command Authority in 2002, which resulted in many upgrades in our Missile program.
But for Scientific research work the Budget comes through a cabinet committee comprising of politicians and basically any minister can be the in charge of SUPARCO finances. The release of funds needs a netting of the committee and so far they have met just 13 times since creation.

.
Please relax and enjoy being right: you are wrong on this as always. That is known in philosophy as Joe's Paradox. You see, democracy and space research are not incompatible, so you are wrong even as you are right in being wrong. Pretty cleverly done. A treat to watch you in action, Sir.

I just like to be realistic and speak the truth, (most of the time) rest I speak from heart.

But Indian lost brains and heart after wearing Modis nationalism Glasses.

There is nothing called 'Indians'; we do not think as a single entity. We are human beings, and we each have separate, individual consciousness. As do individuals that supposedly compose that other totally mythical monolith, the 'Pakistani'.

If you take the trouble to pay attention, not all Indians are enamoured of Modi. However, even when every Pakistani hated 'Mr. 10%', he got the residual, institutional loyalty of every citizen because of the position that he held, because of the legacy that he represented. It is so with Modi; I might oppose him tooth and nail in private conversations, or in discussions with other Indians. When it comes to a discussion with nationals of other countries, I am forced, beyond a point, to support the Prime Minister of our country.

That is good,
But any person with little bit common sense, brains and humanity left will accept what is right and what is wrong. when someone loose that ability and start turning, twisting, hiding behind unrelated incidents and parroting lies or same sentence, they become sanghis and it totally losses credibility of that person and what they are defending.

No matter what glasses you put on to see, right will remain right and wrong will be wrong. sometimes what is right for me, might not be for you but fact is basic human values, morals remain same and do not have a twist.

You mentioned, " When it comes to a discussion with nationals of other countries, I am forced, beyond a point, to support the Prime Minister of our country."

when you at that stage, you already know its wrong and sanghi mode activated.

I tried to be sensible, but my English is not too strong, so please see the message and not the wording used.
Thanks

I would like to assure you that there are many of us who strongly oppose the divisive effects of the thinking and ideology of the RSS and its political arm, the BJP. In the last elections, only 31% voted for them; 69% did not. They got votes not for their twisted, defective interpretations of a tolerant religion, but for promising development. Now, as their development-oriented policies fail, they are falling back increasingly on the religious and cultural agenda, and people in general are not impressed. The turning, twisting, hiding behind unrelated incidents, and lying that you have mentioned are becoming increasingly apparent, and are increasingly rejected. As you put it, they are losing credibility, and what they support is also losing its credibility.

No matter what glasses you put on to see, right will remain right and wrong will be wrong. sometimes what is right for me, might not be for you but fact is basic human values, morals remain same and do not have a twist.

Agreed. As far as the bulk of Indians is concerned, right and wrong does not change from election to election. What is being promoted is not acceptable unless and until it is seen to be right.

You mentioned, " When it comes to a discussion with nationals of other countries, I am forced, beyond a point, to support the Prime Minister of our country."

When I support the Prime Minister of our country, I do that explicitly for the positive things that he does. For instance, in the very active foreign policy and implementation that he has adopted. For instance, in his asking the Army to rebuff cross-border aggression with robustness. For instance, in following through on the earlier Congress-initiated tax reforms leading to the adoption of the GST.

In all these, there is nothing Sanghi behind his actions, apart from a remote connection to the benefit to the RSS if his government does well, and if, as a result, the BJP becomes credible to the Indian population, which it is not at present.

I tried to be sensible, but my English is not too strong, so please see the message and not the wording used.

Please have no worries on that score. The problem lies with the way your readers interpret what you say, not with the skill with which you say it.

Those who support Modi's brand of nationalism might well be said to have stopped using their brains, and to have shown very small hearts.

Then you will have to go elsewhere, to some other forum as well, if you are unable to see what I stand for and what I represent from my posts in this forum.

Since you used the terms, I would be interested to know of any turns, twists, and hiding behind unrelated incidents, and, above all, parroting lies that you may have detected in my posts.

True. That applies equally to fiery defences of what is being done in Kashmir with the active support and connivance of Pakistani authorities. Do you stand up and criticise those actions? Or do you justify them as wrapped up in the integral foundation of your country?

I suggest that you have come to that conclusion due to your predetermined position.

Please have no worries on that score. It is clear that whatever the government, whether it is Modi's or some other, the hostility to India, the state, the administration, the people, the culture, the attempt to allow citizens of all religions to live together with equal rights and opportunities, there will be some who will bear implacable enmity to India and to Indians. Your English is perfectly good in that regard.

Did you ever, in your nine years of membership, mention that India (and Indians) had brains and heart, before Modi came to office in 2014? Or does it come to mind only when the opportunity is not there for the moment?

Mr. Joe, nothing I stated was specific to you, dear. General observation, some will apply to Indians, some to Pakistanis, some to you, some to me.

always seeing things in a certain perspective, makes it a habit and then nature. you see you already started to explain/defend or educate me, this is what i was hinting towards.

Again I repeat, Nothing against you or in favor, those were observation.

So far with you had little interaction, and it was a good experience. We shared our views, accepted what made sense and tried to correct what did not. this is what i like.

Thank you for your detailed and enlightening response and hope to have some good and constructive discussion in future.

I am still learning and there is lot which even i try hard will not be able to comprehend fully, so until I feel a positive vibe from other side, I will always be very humble and respectful.

Regards Guru Ji:wave:

Regarding Indians having brains, Yes i think I mentioned, not directly but always give credit where it is due. even i criticize My Pakistan and some times labeled as Indian and Hindu. what I can say or do, I will keep trying to be as fair as possible. but you know sometimes we get emotional.

#suparco is another bureaucratic failure. 1st space agency in SA but couldn't produce anything

Pakistan was the 6th Country in the world to cross the
Kármán line

Did it 17 months before India.

Pakistan Launched Rehbar-1 on 7 June 1962. India Launches Thumba on 21 Nov 1963.

Let us start again. I am deleting my post and re-writing my answer! No offence meant, I assure you, and I will try to be detached and impersonal. Apologies for the trouble.

Pakistan took a major lead in the space race arena back in 60s. But overtime India has gone miles ahead. I think Pakistan does have some potential in cooperation with China.

Sir, Thanks for understanding me. I read your posts again, and I agree with you, very objective and constructive.
No offence taken, and I hope I did not offended you in anyway.

and Sir, do not put yourself in cage:enjoy: let it go, be free and connect with the universe, express yourself freely, break the shackles of this material world......:D

Thank you again for your patience.

Asalamu Alaikum

It still has relevance now, since it shows we were the first ones in the region to send rockets into space. Not our neighbour, which is important because many among them need to be humbled.
Walaikum Salam, we need to move on and stop living in past glory.
