Every citizen shall have the right to freedom of speech and expression, and there shall be freedom of the press, subject to any reasonable restrictions imposed by law in the interest of the glory of Islam or the integrity, security or defence of Pakistan or any part thereof, friendly relations with foreign States, public order, decency or morality, or in relation to contempt of court, commission of or incitement to an offence.

This does not give her right to insult entire nation.

Decency or morality is a relative term that changes with time. The standard of decency and morality 40 years ago, when I was a boy, was different than what it is today, and it was even more different in my father's times. For instance my father and my Aunts used to call their father 'Bhai Jaan' and not 'Abba' for in their family, it was considered less-than polite. Now if the nation thinks that Reham calling it 'munafiq' is incorrect, it can always knock the court's door, which will then define the term 'decency and morality'. However, as I mentioned in an earlier post, the defended would present a dozen or so well-respected, well-reputed scholars/columnist in her defense who have been writing columns for ages and calling this nation 'names'.

Read an excerpt from Ayaz Amir's latest column:

"Qadri, as we should know, is not just any murder accused. He has become a special person, an accredited hero of the faith, or at least of its Barelvi persuasion, for having emptied his Kalashnikov magazine into the body of the Punjab governor, Salmaan Taseer, on whose security detail he was deputed".

Now does every Barelvi approves of his (Qadri) actions? of-course not. Is Mr. Ayaz insulting every Barelvi by writing the above sentence? The answer is 'no' because he is talking about the majority (that does approve Qadri's actions) and not the exception.

If I am not a 'Munafiq', I should not get knee jerk response because it is not me who has been accused of being a Munafiq. This Qoum or nation is not united in anything, anything, but became so concerned of being called Munafiq? Really?

Standard of decency changes from person to person. I still consider calling an entire nation munafiq indecent and immoral.

Tell me honestly if the same "Hypocrisy" statement was uttered by some PMLN/PPP popular Woman or Mrs of some Popular Leader then what would have been the response of your's and some other people? ...it would have been very Harsh and Violent im sure...

We are hypocrites. Whoever said it, it does not matter. In every mode of life, the way we treat women, the way we deal in money, the way we promote religion and selectively follow it, we are truly and sadly hypocrites.

We preach the piety. Ask any Pakistani to deliver you a lecture on good behaviour. Then check his own lifestyle. 9/10 that person will be practicing what he is not preaching.

The biggest hypocrisy is 'Islamic Republic'. By which stretch of imagination are we 'Islamic'?

Im guessing bhabi is too farigh these days , though lets hope for her sake container khan doesn't start another dharna or you know ..................
