HongKong was leased to UK,but people there were not slaves.if they were slaves,I have to say most of you Vietnamese would rather to be a slave in Hongkong than being a citizen in Vietnam.

Hongkong is just a city and sits on a very good location,that's why it can develop very fast under any government.as for your question,better ask your brother India,they had 300 years experience under the British rule,that's a vivid picture of what it would become if a whole nation was under foreign rules.also you yourself had pretty long foreign domination time.

we are all Chinese we are proud of ourselve,yes,its true people from mainland China like to go to Hongkong,cause Hongkong is still much richer than the mainland,many foreigners live in Hongkong,including Indians and Vietnamese.people always want to go to rich places,like thousands of illegal Vietnamese enter China every year looking for a better life.

PLAN of course will never do that,only Vietnamese claim that they can and will block Malacca strait,doesnt it sound insane to you?if they really do,which I don't think they have the ability,other countries will surely intervene,we just need to sit and watch.

I guess, in case of a war with China, Vietnam surely would impose a total blockade against all Chinese ships, including ships transporting goods to China. That would include the entire South China Sea as well as the Malacca Straits. Ships of other nations would not be affected and could pass. So that could be a worst scenario, that China should keep in mind before starting to attack VN.

No, not a slave. After Vietnam was conquered, it became a province of Imperial China. But the Viets never accepted living under the rule of the Han´s. That led to many upprisings against the Chinese. When China was defeated, Vietnam became independent.
