Pakistan pilots have operated jets in Middle Eastern air forces for decades.

So, what would be the implications for IAF as they are inducting their first Rafales?

Can anyone explain are Qataris Rafales have all the functions & know how of those Rafales which are acquired by IAF?

There is any Defense or strategic partnership between Qatar and India?

Does France have a deal with India prohibiting Pakistani pilots from flying Rafales jets?

So, does the capability of the aircraft which indian government used to hide and dont want to reveal as opposition was asking and the present government was saying wont release due to security reasons, so how much our Pakistani side know how about these jets?

Did france share this gesture with india?

Would india raise objections to France or for that matter with Qatar?

What about specific modifications?

Is there is any difference between France delivered Rafales jets to Qatar and which is going to be delivered to India? As, some were saying that there is a avionics difference!

PAF pilots checking on a fighter is like the Eagle's checking on bunnies.....

Vay Modi/BS Vay!! You have put all of your eggs inside the Rafael basket only to find that the PAF is holding that.....

Many a folk plans/proposes/conspires/connives/colludes etc., Pak disposes* by HIS permission....

*We shall surprise you

Our alliance with KSA is reaching new heights and out of some incredible desperation Qatar would just happen to allow PAF to snoop into their new gear?

This entire story reeks of fantasy.

Pakistan Pilots Trained To Fly Rafales? Report Raises Worry For India

Pakistani pilots being exposed to the Rafale platform could be problematic for the Indian Air Force, which receives its first Rafale jets in September this year

Great now the indian media has picked it up. This should have been kept in the dark away from public eyes.

I hope more secrets are not leaked its always good to surprise enemy in war on battlefield. Surprises work best in battles not peace time.

What is the point of raising objections now when Pakistan has already trained on the jets? Modi Rafale deal trapped IAF.

As long as India is worried the magic has worked.

India has very good reasons to be worried. They should be.

Worry without loss is worthless. They should have lost one or two jets and 2 to 4 pilots flying rafales in 2019 .. That would have been much better now they will be cautious and won't risk coming near.

We could have killed a few pilots and downed a few jets that would have been better in my opinion
In a surprise to the enemy on battlefield.

Pakistani pilots being exposed to the Rafale platform could be problematic for the Indian Air Force, which receives its first Rafale jets in September this year.

Though the Indian Air Force has heavily customised the jet it is acquiring with 14 "India-specific upgrades," the heart of the aircraft remains its Thales built RBE-2 AESA (Active Electronically Scanned Array) radar. Qatari Rafales have received the same radar.

The RBE-2 allows pilots to accurately track and target multiple adversaries in the air, on the ground and out at sea. In being trained on the RBE-2, Pakistani pilots will know the precise ranges at which the system can be used by Indian Air Force pilots once its Rafales are operational.

"They would understand the various modes, the look up, look down, compatibility," says Anshuman Mainkar, a former Indian Air Force MiG-27 pilot with more than a decade of experience in flying combat aircraft. "They will know how the weapon system works, and how resistant it is to being jammed."

Similarly, both aircraft are equipped with a cutting edge defensive suite called SPECTRA (Systeme de Protection et d'Evitement des Conduites de Tir du Rafale ) which allows fighters on the Rafale to detect, identify and counter threats posed by enemy aircraft that may be targeting them. By understanding how SPECTRA works, and the limits of the system, Pakistani Air Force pilots will be in a position to evolve tactics to defeat the system.

By flying the Rafale, Pakistani Air Force pilots "would have understood how well it handles, how its systems work, and how they are integrated." At the same time, Dassault needs to elaborate on the role of the exchange pilots, says Mainkar. "What were they there for? What was the purpose of the exchange?"

Oops. The French have been summoned by the superpower... What will happen to Modi’s Rafale will save the day claim? Wasn’t Rafale the answer to PAF? Rafale compromised?

If I was shree Modi I would drop the Rafale deal and go for F-22. ;)

The Marathas also had the French connection -equipment, training etc. - but, got decimated at the 3rd Battle of Panipat!!! They brought in heavy guns while the Muslims had the light ones!!! And, the ferocious fast charging light cavalry!!!! How History repeats itself.....
