Referendum in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan

currently 30% people in AJK
That is an exaggeration, I have hardly met a dozen people who wanted independence in AJK. And those I met usually were ignorant of our history. Give them a little history lesson and reality check about the geopolitical situation of this region. They would usually shut up after that. At that has always worked for me.

Too risky.

Even if 25% people vote for freedom and another 10 to 15% abstain, things will be very confusing. India will say - even with oppression and army threats you could not get all to agree.

.

at the moment more than 90% people (AJK+ GB + kashmiri Refugees in Pakistan) will vote in favor of Pakistan.

IN SHA ALLAH they will never be succeeded but why keep opening any door for them, time has come to shut it permanently.

referendum will be for the entire IOK & AJK. We are not bound to do any in AKJ by itself so let them dream These are mostly marxist type folks and are not loyal to anyone

disputed territory according to UN resolutions how can we conduct one side referendum in AJK/GB @Umar Nazir o_O:what:
we have to become realistic cruel World forget about UNO resolution long time ago . We also need to think on new lines. West love to teach democratic values , So why not use their tool to secure our strategic interests :cheesy:

currently the vast majority of GB and AJK want to live with Pakistan, but as I said slowly but steadily pro independence forces are gaining momentum, SO why not secure our areas and permanently shut the door for anti Pakistan forces in the region

And get sections or pull over our statement/OBJECTION over IOK @Umar Nazir :p::enjoy:

I am from Muzafferabad and proudly called myself nationalist Pakistani. My family migrated from Jammu to Sialkot in 1947 and in 1951 shifted in Azad Kashmir.

As a nationalist Pakistani, I am not satisfy with Pakistani policy regarding Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan (Pakistani state still living in 1947-48 Erra as far as AJK and GB is concerned ) and firmly believe that status co policy towards these area will prove very dangerous for Pakistan national interest becuase Pro independent people in Azad Kashmir gaining momentum day by day and within few years they will become majority in Azad Kashmir and they will push same sentiments in Gilgit Baltistan within 15-20 years . ( currently 30% people in AJK and 2% people in Gilgit Baltistan support independent Kashmir )

Pakistan have to take some steps if Pak wanted to secure Pakistani interests in these areas. Pakistan should hold referendum in these areas immediately under the supervision of OIC , Referendum will not only secure Pakistan strategic interests in these area but will also provide moral victory to Pakistan in front of civilized world .

I am not fluent in English so sorry in advance for my grammar . PAKISTAN ZINDABAD

I said the same thing a few weeks ago, but got attacked by a few members here. I agree with you 100%

Let the time come, 90% of AJK will vote for Pakistan. The 10% will move to Delhi as refugees.

why should those 10% be moved to Delhi? not wanting to be part of Pakistan doesn't always equate to being part of India.

Having a vote will make them change their minds?

They can't be very intelligent.

Brother let's not be alarmist here the pro independence people will never be the majority nor do they have any sort of power either. As for the 30% figure I'm sorry that is way off the mark. The powerbase lies with us (Pakistan first) our people hold the military and political strength across the region along with the numbers. It was far worse in the early 90's with JKLF and they still couldn't muster the numbers to do anything.
Let's say we hold a referendum and of course win it, does it change anything? It won't, India will dismiss it as sham and the world generally doesn't take any notice anyway.
It's best to work towards getting the valley and then doing what we want. Patience and hardwork is needed.
By the way my entire generation formed the ranks of AKRF and I belong to a very respected family in the region whose sacrifices are well known in the struggle for Kashmir.

What if the referendum was done under UN supervision, with bio-metric machines and polling agents from the UN as well? How would Hindustan call it a sham then?

However after the referendum is conducted it will actually strengthen the Pakistani case and put alot of pressure on Hindustan. This issue needs to be dealt with like a disease. If you ignore it the pain will continue unless you actually try to cure it once and for all.

That is what I've been saying for ages. Referendum in Azad kashmir and GB will solve half of kashmir problem. Pakistan leaders definitely think from back side.

I haven't read the whole thread so I don't know if this has been mentioned but the only two choices before the Kashmiris is be part of India or be part of Pakistan.
The azadi group haven't really thought this through.
How long do they think they would remain azad without the protection of the Pakistani state and armed forces.

Not possible if we will do Referendum in AJK and the people of AJK decide to live/join Pakistan, than what would be our narrative on IOK ???, couldn't we lose our narrative on Indian occupied Kashmir @American Pakistani o_O:what:

All Kashmiri people love Pakistan. We are very similar to Pakistani people and to be Frank we are one. They will mostly vote to cede with Pakistan.

Jklf is a very powerful indigenous kashmiri movement. Ppp, pti, pml n are not our regional parties but jklf is a kashmiri movement. The support for it cannot die. But Kashmiri people have a right for a vote, it was a state before India overtook it. The kashmiri people just want their own independent government like AjK and own police force so outsiders dont bully us. Nobody wants to be part of Punjab where you have to lick the boots of the CM in Punjab. But our model is already in place in ajk. Own prime minister, own police force, a special status. What more can people want?

The most positivity I've witnessed is ever since pti come in to power, alot of Kashmiri people and youth joined politics and are always waving Pakistan flags and Pakistan zindabad is on their tongues.

no chance , GB people always become angry if some one call them part of disputed region, where AJK and refugees in Pakistan will surely vote for Pakistan

Thanks Bro, we have to become realistic, we already lost too much due to our confused and lazy behavior
