Musharraf needs to be hanged to deter any other generals who lust for power and think they can overthrow the government and there will be no consequences for their illegal actions.

Its time the army looked after our borders and stayed out of parliamentary and judicial affairs which are none of their business.

If Musharraf has to be tried then he should be for the 1999 Coup against Nawaz Sharif; but that would open the Pandora's Box, including dragging The PCO Judges who ratified the Coup and even gave Musharraf the authority to amend the Constitution...

For the 2007 abrogation of the Constitution--it must be noted that by now many, if not most in Pakistan know that the ex CJP Ch. Iftikhar was not such a good person, on the contrary. Books could be written about the damage done to Pakistan by that so-called Chief Justice of Pakistan.

I'd say that Musharraf is a has-been force in Pakistan is not far from his death. Let's not waste time on him. There are important issues to address. And I believe the PTI govt, firmly backed by the Army, is out to rescue Musharraf in order to 'move on' and avoid any acrimony with the Army--and that's the wisest path forward for Pakistan.

In democracy, you can choose whoever you like. Anyone can become a politician, even a cricket player or a business man and their tenure only lasts 5 years, after which it is reviewed by the people.

However, any nation that has the misfortune of being trapped in a tyrannical quagmire, it's final destination is death.

democracy also have serious flaws. example of this is that there are many more stupids than intellectuals and stupids can easily be manipulated. USA (immigrants)and now UK - Brexit. similarly in Pakistan people vote for Bhutto because their grandfather did and women have no choice - they are told where to vote. So is democracy really working?
I think that not everyone is eligible to vote as they do not have the mental capacity to make informed decisions and choices. vote shouldn't be a birth right but something that has to be worked for. Then we wouldnt have a parliment full of illiterate thieves.
