Red Dawn trailer

.
Chinese would disguise as Koreans so that opponents would underestimate them.
In the Ming dynasty during the Imjin war, Ming soldiers wore Korean white colored soldiers robes over their red ming uniforms. they then successfully stormed Pyongyang (Garrisoned by Japanese) as the Japanese were expecting an easy fight against Koreans.

This movies looks retarded though and reminds me of the game Homefront. At least the game was fun, this trailer makes me cringe.

.
Too bad no one is going to see that since now it is Korean they are up against.
Everyone knows that "North Korea" in films and games is a code word for China.

What kind of history book have you been reading???

Since when did Li Rusong become Korean?
Back then most of the korean generals were too busy fleeing to Ming from Japanese, the only noticable contribution by the koreans was by Korean Admiral Yi Sun-sin

So was the Ming emperor, Jesus christ and Tassadar.

No, Li Rusong really was Korean. The first Ming army sent was a majority non-Han mercenary army consisting of Koreans, Jurchens(aka Manchus), and Mongols on Ming payroll. This army was stationed in Shenyang(Which was a border city between Ming and the Jurchens back then) and its job was to protect Ming from Jurchen invasion, and this is why they were so effective against the Japanese as they were battle-hardened mercenaries.

The second wave of troops from the mainland consisting of Han troops weren't as effective as the northern mercenary army led by Li Rusong brothers, and their job was to serve as road blocks, not to directly battle the Japanese.

Li Rusong - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

His father was Li Chengliang (Chinese:李成梁),was also a famed army commander of Ming empire, was known for his accomplishment of defending LiaoDong province from Manchus.[2] Based on historical document Li Rusong's 6th generation ancestor Li Ying(Chinese:李英) is originally from the Korean town of Chosan in present-day North Korea (Hangul: 초산군, Hanja: 楚山郡,Chinese:楚山郡).

Only his family lineage can be traced back to Korea, however his family had been living in China for generations. He and his father Li Chengliang declare themselves as Han rather than Korean ethnicity. Even in Korea in the history record of Rissi Joseon, Li's family is listed in the Chinese section.

Korean revisionist history at its finest!
The Han majority troops had a thing for artillery and were devastating against the Japanese. Without Ming intervention with soldiers from MING, Korea had no chance against the barbarian Japanese.
The only Korean general of a Chinese army that i can think of off the top of my head was the dude that led the fight in the battle of Talas. He also fooked that one up real bad.

Since you are quoting wiki, why don't you finished the sentences.
Li Ru-song (Chinese: 李如松; pinyin: Lǐ Rúsòng) (1549–1598) was a Chinese general of Ming empire who is from the town of Tieling (Chinese:鐵嶺衛), LiaoDong (Chinese:遼東) province,he was the Commander-in-chief of the Ming Empire's army in the first half of the "Sino-Japanese War"(1592–1598) took place in Korea peninsula. The war was ordered by Emperor titled ShenZong (Chinese:明神宗)[1] to protect Korea from the Japanese invasion masterminded by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, upon the request of the King of Korea- Li Yan. But there is also historical document states that the further ancestor of family Li was from central China, who moved to Korea during war time

And not assimilated. That's how we know Li Rusong was Korean, because he said he was Korean during the war and was recorded as such; he just worked for Ming dynasty which attracted mercenaries as far away from Africa.

What do you mean not assimilated? Does he speak Korean at all?

Anyways, by your definition, US is ruled by a Kenyan right now, isn't it.

HA
It cant be Han Chinese that stormed Pyongyang from the japanese, it was african, mongolian and jurchen mercenaries! These minority mercenaries also happened to carry artillery. The Han just hanged around, ate all the kimchi and rice and then went home.
