1. during the years of the afghan war, indian governments didn't send any military detachments in aid of the afghan socialist government.
2. hamid karzai ( enemy to the socialist government ) was a college student in india until 1983... his family had been important functionaries during the anti-socialist era of the king zahir shah... hamid karzai was no ordinary student... why was he even allowed within india after the socialists had taken over afghan government... why didn't indian government hand over this anti-socialist person to the socialist afghan government??
3. in late 80's, indian government enabled "india today" magazine to interview the cia-created "mujahideen" ( qaeda ).
4. in 1990, the chandrashekhar government in india
allowed the indian airforce to refuel american bombers at madras airbase... these bombers had been going to bomb iraq... indian government and military were on the same side as american government and military.
5. in 1993, indian government sent an envoy to meet abdul rasul sayyaf ( middle-man of taliban )... this was one year after fall of the president najibullah government... essentially, indian establishment wanted to forge deep relations with the next government which more or less would be anti-socialist... and why not??
6. until the time president najibullah took refuge with the uno in kabul, no indian prime minister or military commander spoke up for president najibullah... conversely, they didn't speak against the taliban government.
7. in 1996, president najibullah was murdered by the taliban... again, no indian prime minister or military commander spoke against this crime against humanity... they didn't speak then, they don't speak now.
8. hamid karzai, the anti-socialist terrorist during the socialist afghan years, after he was put up as president by usa, has been much celebrated by indian establishment.
9. one of the candidates for the last afghan presidential elections was abdul rasul sayyaf, the same criminal met by the indian government envoy in 1993.
