what exactly did he do wrong?

islam and the teachings of jesus are early socialism... which is why neither iqbal nor nasser had any disagreements or contradictions being socialist or "muslim" at the same time.
Islam is not socialism, Islam is Islam

. . .
i dony wanna

It was something like how he turned a Secular,Tolerant nation into a Islamic State that it is today
Imran khan has indepth knowledge of this that is why I suggested him

true history, true present...

1. account of 1993 visit to taliban by indian diplomat ( m.k. bhadrakumar )... ( A kafir among the Wahhabis - Rediff.com India News ).

2. the current indian involvement in infrastructure projects in afghanistan, through territory controlled by taliban... projects including "zaranj-delaram highway".

3. the taliban earning money through opium sales to cia.

4. indian government and military acting as b-team of nato in afghanistan.

i am old enough to remember usa recognizing taliban "government".

I think you're confusing the afghan mujahideen with the Taliban, bud. The guy he met wasn't with Mullah Omar's Taliban

this meeting was in 1993... sayyaf was a middle-man for the taliban... he was "good taliban" as went the term for a few years.

and my point was that indian establishment was on the wrong side in the afghan war.

Sayyaf has always denied having to do with the Taliban. Some people say he set up Masood to be killed by Al Qaeda. The "good Taliban" is Mullah Omar's Afghan Taliban and the bad Taliban is TTP. Like I said, I think you're confusing the Afghan mujahideen with the Taliban.

please don't call them "mujahideen"... as per real islam, they were munafi* dogs who were puppets of cia in the cia regime-change attempt against the afghan socialist government.

doesn't matter what sayyaf pretends... he is not enemy to taliban... sayyaf was middle-man to taliban.

Define the wrong side. India supported Najeebullah, then supported the northern alliance and now this Afghan government. So which time were they on the wrong side? :D

1. please do read the link in my reply to seiko.

2. in the early 90's, someone gave me a older copy of "india today" magazine... one of the main stories was the account of visit by a reporter for the magazine, to the "mujahideen"... not to the socialist government or the ussr military, mind you... but to the anti-communist cia-puppet "mujahideen"... you may contact "india today" and verify what i wrote... and derive your own conclusions.

3. what side of the afghan war was india on?? certainly not of the socialist government there...

4. usa... i remember reading about an american military food airlift to the taliban "government" because of severe snowfall right after the taliban took control of kabul and formed "government"... again, you may enquire with any person or agency... maybe you can ask @jhungary

Not really sure why I am being called on.....But anyway.

CIA have supported Afghanistan Mujahedeen against the Russia is an open secret, almost everyone knows that, but I would have to stop short on calling the CIA or even the American government recognize Taliban

The reason is, the American was actually supporting the Massoud, after the fall of DRA and the hatred between OBL and United States is most agreed to be US not supporting the M Taliban Faction and instead supported Massoud which later turned into Northern Alliance.

Kabul, if I remember correctly, have only been airlifted once, by the Soviet during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. There were no US airlift in Kabul until 2001 when US invaded Afghanistan

KARACHI: Former military ruler General (retd) Pervez Musharraf on Thursday termed recognition of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan a blunder on part of Pakistan but blamed the West and United States for the birth of Al Qaeda and leaving Pakistan high and dry after the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Speaking at the Youth Parliament Convention here, he said Pakistan suffered due to wrong policies of the US as the country had to fight on two fronts simultaneously in 1979, which led to an increase in the size of the armed forces.

Musharraf said efforts have been made to destabilise Pakistan right from 50s and 60s era.

“Some say Taliban are our children and we created them… but it’s not true,” said the former president.

Musharraf regretted that Mujahideen were not looked after following their ‘utilisation’ against the Soviets. He said Taliban who were fighting in Afghanistan were ethnic Pakhtuns and that identity was given to them by Pakistan.

He, however, admitted that recognising the Taliban regime in Afghanistan was a blunder on Pakistan’s part.

Recognising Taliban govt was Pakistan’s mistake: Musharraf - Pakistan - DAWN.COM

And how many more blunders are the PTB in Pakistan going to commit? Using terrorists as proxies to fight the PA's war against India would soon be regretted too! 'strategic assets' today, but what of tomorrow? These very proxies would be responsible for Pakistan's ruin.
I can see there's a lot of regrets & buck passing here by Musharraf. But did they render all that favours to the US & the West for free? I can't see Musharraf mentioning about the amount of money Pak army received for setting up snake sanctuaries & training snakes to bite others! & now that the snakes came home to bite back, made Musharraf realise that it was a blunder to recognize Taliban. Soon enough.. he will realise it was a blunder to patronage groups assigned to target India, as well!

1. during the years of the afghan war, indian governments didn't send any military detachments in aid of the afghan socialist government.

2. hamid karzai ( enemy to the socialist government ) was a college student in india until 1983... his family had been important functionaries during the anti-socialist era of the king zahir shah... hamid karzai was no ordinary student... why was he even allowed within india after the socialists had taken over afghan government... why didn't indian government hand over this anti-socialist person to the socialist afghan government??

3. in late 80's, indian government enabled "india today" magazine to interview the cia-created "mujahideen" ( qaeda ).

4. in 1990, the chandrashekhar government in india allowed the indian airforce to refuel american bombers at madras airbase... these bombers had been going to bomb iraq... indian government and military were on the same side as american government and military.

5. in 1993, indian government sent an envoy to meet abdul rasul sayyaf ( middle-man of taliban )... this was one year after fall of the president najibullah government... essentially, indian establishment wanted to forge deep relations with the next government which more or less would be anti-socialist... and why not?? ;)

6. until the time president najibullah took refuge with the uno in kabul, no indian prime minister or military commander spoke up for president najibullah... conversely, they didn't speak against the taliban government.

7. in 1996, president najibullah was murdered by the taliban... again, no indian prime minister or military commander spoke against this crime against humanity... they didn't speak then, they don't speak now.

8. hamid karzai, the anti-socialist terrorist during the socialist afghan years, after he was put up as president by usa, has been much celebrated by indian establishment.

9. one of the candidates for the last afghan presidential elections was abdul rasul sayyaf, the same criminal met by the indian government envoy in 1993.

during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan
CIA have supported Afghanistan Mujahedeen

a correction of terminology is important...

1. there was no soviet "invasion" of afghanistan... the soviet military came in to aid a comradely socialist nation... actual invasions are like the nato invasions of iraq, libya and syria.

2. please don't call the anti-socialists as "mujahideen"... as per real islam, these anti-socialists were munafi* dogs who were puppets of cia in the cia regime-change attempt against the afghan socialist government... this much you too will agree, i think. :)

but I would have to stop short on calling the CIA or even the American government recognize Taliban

i clearly remember the american government more or less welcoming taliban rule.

Kabul, if I remember correctly, have only been airlifted once, by the Soviet .

sinerely, i meant american food-airlift to taliban-ruled afghanistan... american government assistance to the newly formed taliban "government".

Soon enough.. he will realise it was a blunder to patronage groups assigned to target India, as well!

please read my reply to joeblow above.

1. Soviet union was already there. What was India going do that they didn't.

2. Why would the Indian goverment arrest a 19 year old and hand him over to someone? Did the afghan govt had filed charges and asked for extradition?

3. Who did they interview? Or are you once again confusing the mujahideen with al Qaeda?

4. I didn't U.S bombed Iraq in 1990. Thought it was 1991. Could be wrong but seriously, why would we care what they did to Saddam?

5. I've already said he wasn't with the Taliban.

6. Why didn't the champion of socialism Gaddafi launch a full-scale attack on afghanistan?

7. He was supposed to come and live in India. What else should India offer someone who's only link to us was a head of state of another country?

8. Nothing wrong with that. Socialism is shyt

9. We already gone over this. He was Mujahideen, not Taliban

1. Soviet union was already there. What was India going do that they didn't.

on what side was india during the western invasion of korea, 1950-53??

2. Why would the Indian goverment arrest a 19 year old and hand him over to someone? Did the afghan govt had filed charges and asked for extradition?

what kind of logic is that??

3. Who did they interview? Or are you once again confusing the mujahideen with al Qaeda?

fsa or qaeda... hamas or iran mullahs... these things are synonymous, no need to split hairs... karzai's goons were from afghanistan, taliban was pakistani/afghani, qaeda was more international... how would i know which technical group was the reporter interviewing??

4. I didn't U.S bombed Iraq in 1990. Thought it was 1991. Could be wrong but seriously, why would we care what they did to Saddam?

you may be correct on the date, but doesn't matter... what matters is that indian establishment was again on the wrong side, by helping usa bomb iraq and help bring the deaths of two million iraqis, the loss of a great and strong nation, and the murder of the president of a sovereign nation.

6. Why didn't the champion of socialism Gaddafi launch a full-scale attack on afghanistan?

excuses.

7. He was supposed to come and live in India. What else should India offer someone who's only link to us was a head of state of another country?

really?? so why was india doing the opposite bit of working with the anti-socialists??

8. Nothing wrong with that. Socialism is shyt

why would any rational person object to this... ( The Worldwide Government | Page 3 )...
