LCA Tejas MK-1 was never designed for the export, but MK-2 would be because IAF requirement of MK-2 variant should not be much after 20+20+106 MK-1 + MK-1 trainer. MK-2 was actually the Naval version with superior engine F414 IN6 for the carrier operation with worthy payload. MK2 should be able to replace MIG-29/Mirrage 2000.
