Dont see why some of you guys insult each other (or their countries)
It is true that assimilation and Turkification did happen in todays Turkey but mixing between ethnicies and races were always the case and still are even today.
While there are of course idiots who think that Turks and Mongolians are the same most dont think like that.
What is important to all this is that both the Turks and Mongolians have the same origin and before modern times even the same way of life and religion so why should we divide each other?
In the end it doesnt matter if someone has minimal or no genetical relation to the "original Turks" but more about what culture and what language they have.
(Since nobody even knows what genetical imput the Göktürks had)

And in defense to the Anatolian Turks almost all Turkics are mixed :
1. Tatars with Slavs and Ugrics
2. Turks with Greeks/Armenians/Circassians/Laz
3. Azeris with Persians/Caucasian people
4. Uyghurs with Tocharians
5. Uzbeks with Tajiks

Amongst each other, within Turkey but also in Turkic world we never have the discussion about race and racial purity. These are alien concepts since such a thing doesn't exist. Unfortunately some thick headed people think they can wedge Turkic/Mongol people by these silly racial concepts. There is only one race which is the human race and no nation is pure. I don't want to begin about Pakistan out of respect for Pakistani people here but Yazp needs to tone it down.

Everyone should calm down. I can’t believe Pakistanis and Turks are fighting it’s probably the first time I’ve seen that on this forum.

We are nationalists and don't like to discuss about our lineage with foreigners... especially when foreigners tells us that we are no Turks.

They must talk, otherwise they cannot keep their Fear of the Great "Turk" , Even Europe called the Wars between the Ottoman Empire and European Dynasties "Turkish Wars" :)

Pakistani who felt "insulted", how would you feel if some of us would tell you Pakistani you are not Pakistani but Indian because you have some shared DNA with Indians? At least we Turks have straight paternal lineage and lived in independence since the dawn on times, which can't be said about you.

Central Asian people are the most advanced people in the Muslim world

Nope that award goes to Indonesians and Malays.

I agree, Turks do claim paternal lineage, thus it doesn't matter what they look like, as long as they can prove their Turkic origins. Many people do not know that, no one intentionally trying to insult Turks dude.

Northern Indians and Pakistanis from Punjab, Sindh and Azad Khasmir are essentially the same people with different religion. Nothing insulting in that.

. . . . .
The genetic makeup of the Turkish people is something that is quite complex and cannot be summarized in statements like:

"Look at Kazakhs and look at Turks in Turkey, it seems that Turkey Turks are just a bunch of muslim Greeks and Arabs"
or
"The real Turks are pure mongoloid"

When you look at the genetical makeup of All Turkic people, there is one thing that stands out. All of them are a combination of Mongoloid and Caucasoid DNA. This combination varies over continents:

Mongols have 93% Mongoloid DNA and 7% Caucasoid
Kazakh, Kyrgyz have around 65-70% Mongoloid DNA, 30% caucasoid
Ughurs have around 40-45% Mongoloid DNA
Uzbeks around 35% Mongoloid
Turkmens of Turkmenistan around 25%-30% Mongoloid
Azeris vary between 80-22%
And Finally the Turks of Turkey have around 14%

This is much higher than Kurds, Arabs or Greeks, where it is just max 2%, but again this is just an average. Istanbul Turks are on average 8%, When you go to inner Anatolia, seeing 25% is not so rare. There are a lot of Turks with significant Mongoloid DNA, But look 100% Caucasoid. The typical Turks of nowadays mostly look 100% Caucasoid.

For example my cousin. His mother is from a Turkmen tribe and all look quite mongoloid, his father was of Albanian heritage. The result is a look that has 0% Turkic mongoloid properties.

Also, a big mistake people make is to think that the Oghuz tribes which entered Anatolia were like Kazakhs or Kyrgyz. This is also not true. They were probably more like the Turkmens of nowadays, because they already mixed with various Iranic Tribes, so around 30-35% Mongoloid DNA. This means that almost half of the Current Turkish DNA stems from those nomads, which is a lot. A huge shift in genetics.
