That Syrian myth is about Baluch... Not pashtuns... The origins of all Pashtuns aren't the same either... The Ghilzai who are probably the largest tribe have Turkic roots - assimilated into local culture... Highlanders like afridis,Wazirs etc are karlnaris... And so on...

Most of what is being said about Genghis Khan are lies. In those times everybody was brutal but Genghis Khan was suprisingly tolerant for different religions and ethnicity. In this sense Genghis Khan is light years ahead compared to today's certain Muslim countries.
