Rebels kill at least 20 Indian army soldiers in northeast

.
No offense to Indians but that's hilarious , lol. Very uncommon to see in the world today.

Communists/Maoists and North Eastern Rebels seeking Independence from India are behind most civilian deaths in India today from terrorist attacks. Their attacks dont make big news in western media because they arent interesting for the western audience and the Indian propaganda machine seeks to hide them under the carpet viz a viz attacks by Islamic/Kashmiri groups, whose attacks and victims western audiences can empathize and sympathize with. This empathy and sympathy is then used by India to juxtapose itself to western audiances as an innocent victim like them from the evil Muslims. The below article sums this phenomenon up quite well.

The threat you are talking about consists only in remotely areas of the country's which are mainy consist forests there number is not much than few thousand which are equipped with poor weapons

Mostly 80% percent of the gernal population don't even aware about them

Basically these militansts never have balls to leave those remote forests to fight in the open
Basically they are ineffective

I wouldn't say that. The guy above has a point indeed

If we compare the number of Indian civilians and soldiers killed by islamic terrorists in Kashmir to the number of Indian police/soldiers killed by Maoists and Naxalites, it is peanuts. Every year, at least 100-200 policemen/soldiers fall victim to these parasites. They are a far far bigger threat than Islamic Extremists. Just because they have been content to lie low and keep to the forests doesn't mean it will be like that in the future. They need to be wiped out urgently. Their effect is not just confined to 200 odd deaths every year. Due to the insecurity created by these rebels, there is huge loss of investment in North east states and red corridor. The damage to the Indian GDP growth could be as high as 1-2%.

There are huge, more than India had in Pakistan or Afghanistan, opportunities to turn against India. People who live in glass house must not throw stones at others. But what if you have already thrown many?

May departed are rememberd for their deeds.

Naxalis do not kill civilians and they are not behind most civilian deaths. Please get your facts correct.

Indian propoganda machine(assumjing it exists) doesnt hide anything under the carpet and previous Prime minister Manmohan has also recognised this.

Naxalism biggest threat to internal security: Manmohan - The Hindu

Pakistan has been sponsoring terrorism since decades and its effect is being now seen all over the world and its natural that Pakistan will get snubbed by India along with the whole world for that reason.

India's policy is not to use forces against its own people,Naxalis knows this and the biggest mistake they could make is to take help from outside as they know that they will be flushed by Indian army like terrorists in Kashmir.

At Manipur Ambush Ground Zero, Empty Villages, a Live IED and Some Nervous Armymen

Chandel, Manipur: At the Thoubar village in Manipur, about 10 kilometres from the spot where 18 Armymen were killed by insurgents who ambushed them on Thursday, there is not a single soul around in a village of at least 50 huts.

After much looking, we find one person, a 70-year-old who had previously served in the Assam Rifles and now spends his days farming. "Everyone left this morning for Chandel. You see we are scared the Army will come and beat us all up," said Mr KC.

10 kilometres ahead, we encounter Army jawans, standing at a bend and flagging down any vehicle coming their way with a mix of nervousness and anger. We tell them we are journalists. They then stop asking us to turn around and leave immediately, but tell us we can't go on a few steps ahead. The reason they say, is a still unexploded Improvised Explosive Device planted by insurgents on the road, discovered this morning, cordoned off and still awaiting a bomb squad. Beyond the IED, the charred remains of two totally burnt trucks stand on the road.

An army jawan who does not want his identity revealed says, "You know it's pretty scary just how badly we got attacked. I wonder if it's a new low for us or is it only a one off incident."

Another jawan points to the miles and miles of jungle around, and says "It's so easy for these insurgents to melt away from here into Myanmar. You see these jungles, walk 20 hours and you can reach Burma too."

On our way back from the spot, we chance upon a combing operation at another village nearby. The company commander leading the operation is anxious to have us leave. We comply, but not before catching glimpses of some young children and women coming out of their homes on the order of the troops. The men, they are nowhere to be found even at this village.

A few kilometers ahead, we catch up with an Assam Rifles road opening party. The young officer in charge says he won't face the cameras, but adds that it seems the next few days will be very, very rough, and even more challenging than operating in Manipur usually is.
