No sir, not even this argument is realistic. Other than mentioning economy, which was highly favored because of war-against-terrorism and the earthquake aid + 10 billions of loans Pakistan took. Other than that or giving liberation to Media in his early years, there ain't any good that you might compare with the crimes he did.

Its not fault of mirror if you are ugly face of Musharaf in media. He earned this respect and for reasons. If Musharaf was that honest and truthful, why the holy hell he resigned from Presidency fearing impeachment the first place? Hath kangan ko arse kya..? ll this is all the more amazing when one considers that just six years ago, Pakistan was on the verge of bankruptcy, with only a little more than $1bn in foreign exchange reserves and its stock market teetering at 1,000 points (worth $5 billion only) and foreign debt servicing at 65% of GDP. Lets not have a short memory disorder the first place.

1999, Pakistan conducted Nuclear Tests and got sanctioned Internationally... No wonder we went through a very tough time, until 9/11 happened and Paksitan became the opportunity for America. Had that not happened, the world must have seen a very struggeling country, even if Musharaf was sitting in power.

The Credit musharaf lovers try to offer him is for economics.. forgetting the fact that around $20 billions came in the name of War Against terrorism and Earthquake relief funds. Do not forget an additional $10 Billions was still borrowed from International donors and some 4-5 billions of loan was re-scheduled by the donors to give few yers of relief to GOP. If you combine all that, you would see reason why Pakistan's economy was doing better.

Present government is sick, far more worse than what Musharaf was but that doesn't make Musharaf any better on his own grounds. When people call Musharaf "good", they compare him with Zardari and obviously he appears to be better. If this government is blind, Musharaf's government was one eye blind but don't over-look that it wasn't the "just right" one. If we look at matters other than economy, every chapter other aspect of his era is pitch black.

3rd in musharaf's era, there hasn't been any foundational progress in Pakistan in musharaf's Era.. did you see any stretegic developments? Even the Port of Gawadar was started and mostly developed by Nawaz-Sharif. Got any other project to mention???

& also he got money when he sold important assets of Pakistan to private companies... Like PTCL...

& also, ex-pat Pakistanis started sending huge sums of money to Pakistan as a result of 911-scare... They thought they would be targeted in west so decided to buy property in Pakistan, just in case they had to rush back...

& so-called prosperity in his time was fake-hype in stock exchange index (NO real prosperity...!!!) ... & ... credit-based flux of cars... (NO real ترقى)... etc

Bull crap! I guess Musharraf is and was the best Pakistan ever had after Qaid, When i say this, is only because he had a vision! All the BS that arthur has wrote could easyly be brushed away by a plain minded person! ...... Bhutto got famouse for certain things and i'm sure if Musharraf was democratically elected he would off been praised in golden words in the history of Pakistan.. What politicians has problem with him is only because he achived so much as a military man and if they start giving credit to him the democracy is shame to the country! Simply they lose their jobs as politicians, which they don't want...
