CPEC was configured along the lines laid out by China and previous PML-N government. Now we have another government. Whilst broadly CPEC will remain the same but inevitably the plan is going to have be tweaked to the requirements of the new government. The previous government played to much on "show" projects like Lahore Metro. The new government is more inclined towards social investment and CPEC will need to be tweaked so that it fits within the poliicy direction of the PTI governmernt. Which is less about glitzy projects abd more about improving human development.

But non of this means Pakistan or China are now paddling in opposite directions. It just means securing Pakistan's interests.
