The only relationship with the Taliban, other than capturing, defeating, or killing them in hot battles is that of the ISI elements which still want to use them as a reserve force in contingency fire fights in Kashmir against India.

An interesting idea on the part of the Pakistan FO.

However, the US has the best law schools in the world to help interpet the issue of Diplomatic Immunity and is sound in it's position that Davis has full Diplomatic Immunity. But no harm in Pakistan's FO gettting an opinion I assume from a highly respected world standing law firm.

That "diplomatic immunity thing" is all the court has an Order outstanding to determine. At which point the court will defer to DI and have to release Mr. Davis for his repatriation to the US.

Attempted armed robbery on Mr. Davis shows him as the victum. He has DI. The issues beyond that are between the GOP and the US Department of State to resolve any alleged civil matters in Lahore.

From the Tuesday NEW YORK TIMES Feb. 22, 2011:
Asked during a conference call with reporters about a link between Davis and the CIA, State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said: “We will not comment on his particular activity in Pakistan other than to say he is a member of the administrative and technical staff of the embassy and has diplomatic immunity.”

“From that point…he enjoyed privileges and immunities against local criminal law, including inviolability of person, inviolability from arrest and detention, and immunity from criminal jurisdiction,” another senior US official said.

Meanwhile, in the real world:

I guess all the hot breeze emanating from certain quarters in Pakistan will quickly make up for these shortfalls by providing WIND ENERGY! :D

What's your point?

What's your point?

My point is that the present condition of Pakistan's economy is quite fragile and needs all the support it can get internationally. Now is not the time to upset those arrangements. This is what I have been saying all along.

your assessment is wrong on so many levels that I can fill a page or two telling you how, kind of busy, but if you could for a couple of minutes, do some thinking, and serious critical thinking about why your assessment is wrong, I'm sure you'll get the answer and not just one answer but a couple. :-)

Never mind a page or two, please enlighten me with a coherent paragraph or two. :D

Last 7 pages are enough answer of your posts. I hope you will find it.

'CIA spy' Davis was passing nuke tech to Al Qaeda? - Rediff.com India News

Of course he is, but that has no bearing on application of immunity. Those are separate considerations. Let's wait for the federal government to form its official position to be submitted to the LHC for consideration. Then we shall see how things proceed from there onwards.

WE hope you might learn from using this valuable PDF experience based input from young current military hands and older, mature, retired military hands. But your "input" about CIA giving nuclear info to al Qaida is "off the map" and wastes both your and all our time.

I for one am glad to have you do Q&A and offer your singular views but making such absurd statements does nothing to educate nor inform you nor any of us.

Never mind a page or two, please enlighten me with a coherent paragraph or two. :D

haha impatience, the curse of youth. Another certain member of PD wouldve had a field day with such an impetuous response.

Au contraire my dear Sir! Please remain on topic. I am still waiting for your response to the point I made earlier.
