I checked with a freind of mine in the defence industery wrt India and PREDATOR use and he said " it wouldn't surpise me if they did, I've heard some murmurs on the subject-but the Indians are very secretive and don't let outsiders know about what is really going on. In the West we like to think we are good at keeping secrets but you've gotta deal with Indians to see how it is truly done! If it is true or untrue, we'll probably never know for sure. We're the ones (on the outside) who are kept guessing-and that is just the way they like it."

These are NOT armed drones as it clearly states. And India will NEVER use air-power against internal conflicts- this is something the GoI and IAF have both stated implicitly so even if these drones were armed they would not be used to hit Moaists. Even if they were a Hellfire would be overkill, the Moasits are getting it handed to them as it is and within a few years the whole thing will have petered out.

Come on , such things have happened in the past. Early DRDO website has shown Abrams, Nerpa and many other foreign weapon systems under our belt and JF-17 pics in our Air show posters... This is another unlucky incident of same kind but with far little intensity of embarrassment.
