RAW, NDS want to kill me: Afghan MP

For all afghans. Zama watan Pakistan de aw da zamunga Pakistan de. Pashtun or nominal/unproven pashtun like me.
Excuse me Wannabe, why you are calling yourself 'Pashtun'? Is Pashto your mother tongue?. Pashtun means a person whose mother tongue is Pashto, yours is Urdu. Now i would have ignored you but you are addressing Pashtuns of Bar Pakhtunkhwa as a 'Pashtun' , creating confusion and misunderstanding. Shaitani sey baaz aaja and have some self-respect .

. .
we have pashtun blood and even among them they say its unproven..
What a stupidity..... Whats up with this Pashtun blood thing? care to tell us how many milliliters of Pashtun blood is running in your veins?. Have you sprout two wings or two horns or four legs after discovering that you might have few ml of Pashtun blood in you?.......There is nothing in race , we are products of our environment, surroundings and culture. A Pashtun is a Pashtun because he has grown up in a Pashtun society, not because he was born with traits which are usually associated with Pashtuns . Come back to your senses, racist.

.

If Pakistan wants to use Afghanistan as a base to expand operations against India there is little choice for India.
India will raise the cost for Pakistan in Afghanistan

Pakistan is no angel. Pakistan has tried hard backing anti-Indian elements in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh
Pakistan has looked the other way as the military junta has slaughtered Rohaniya Muslims in Myanmar. You have sold them JF-17 fighter planes.

So if I was born in a Pukhtoon society and spoke Pushto then I would be a Pukhtoon? I highly doubt that Pukhtoons would consider me a Pukhtoon. Race DOES matter.

If your "mother tongue" is Pashto and all of your family speaks Pashto with each other, then yes you will be considered a Pashtun. A big chunk of Pashto speakers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are lineage-wise not Pashtuns yet we see them as Pashtuns so do you people. Shahi Syed of ANP for example is not racially a Pashtun, yet how many of you see him as a non-Pashtun?. Race doesnt matter in defining Pashtun identity , its your speaking and doing Pashto which makes you a Pashtun. The "doing" Pashto are the cultural traits that one acquire growing up in a Pashtun household, society and environment.

So how does a non Pukhtoon have Pushto as a mother tongue?
I know of ethnic Kashmiris who lived in Peshawar (born and bred) and spoke Pushto like natives, yet were not considered Pushtoons.
What about the Sikhs? I know an Afghan Pukhtoon who does not accept them as Pukhtoons even though they have roots in Afghanistan for over one century.

I see, it is a bit like Arabs, as many of them are not Arab by blood but by language, but if you told them this..they would get angry.

Also no matter what you say, Race DOES matter...it is in the battle sweat! It is part of one's identity, it just depends on where you place it.

When you are fully integrated into Pashtun nation, not just linguistically but also culturally and it happens in spans of centuries. The ethnic Kashmiris of Peshawar can fluently speak Pashto but they speak Hindko at their homes and are culturally not Pashtuns. Majority of Hindkowans in Peshawar are in fact of Kashmiri descent. I mentioned two things to you "speaking Pashto" and "doing Pashto"...i have already explained to you what "doing Pashto" means......you do not become a Pashtun by learning Pashto in a class.

At some point in history a concept was developed that Pashto demands that one has to be a Muslim to be a Pashtun and that a non-Muslim can not be Pashtun, so reaction towards Sikhs is because of that. Another thing is, the Sikhs in Afghanistan still speak Punjabi at their homes while Dari and Pashto outside. While the Sikhs in Peshawar are part of Hindkowan community who also can also communicate in Pashto like other Hindkowans. There are Sikh pockets in FATA, who i think only speak Pashto. Still when we communicate with people outside our province, a Sikh or Hindu from our areas is Pashtun while some Urdu Speaking Pathan of Karachi, India and elsewhere is not. A UP-wala, calling himself a Rohilla, might be carrying extensive Shajras and saying proof of him being Pathan is that he is light skinned etc....but any one from Pakhtunkhwa, even if he is as black as coal, will dismiss his claim for a simple reason that UP-wala is neither Pashto speaker nor Pashto doer. Bayaz Ansari or Pir Roshan was an Arab by lineage but he considered himself a Pashtun and was considered Pashtun by others because he was a Pashto speaker and Pashto doer. The "Qazis" of Nowshera (e.g late Qazi Hussain Ahmad of JI ) are racially not Pashtuns but arrivals from Turkestan yet they are Pashtuns for us. The member here @RealNapster is from a Qazi family of Nowshera

No they are people indigenous to the city whose ancestors have been residing in the area for millennia, stop portraying them as outsiders!

And Pashtuns are living in Peshawar for last 5000 years ! (sarcasm)

The city was actually a fort, held by Mughals and it was peopled with groups tied to them. The influx of Kashmiris to Peshawar and Kabul happened during Durrani period. The ancient people of entire Peshawar valley, the Gandharians, have become completely Pashtunized and have nothing to do with the city-dwellers called Pishoris. Peshawar fort was built by Babur, was destroyed by Dilazak Pashtuns in 1530s and was again rebuilt by Humayun. It was in the Akbar times that rule over Peshawar was consolidated and the fort was strongly garrisoned with troops and families. The Hindko area within Peshawar city is still surrounded by historical walls. These Pishoris are not homogeneous. You will also find people among them who are of Turani (Turkestani) descent.

On the other hand the Gujjars of Peshawar valley and Swat are among the ancient inhabitants of the region who have preserved their identity.

As long as we put Pakistan before our respectives ethnic/linguistic/cultural groups.

Which is a particular brand of nationalism called Watan-parasti
Nope. If I had said put Pakistan before Islam, then I would accept your comment. This is watan over ethnic group. (and there are some in Pakistan who do "Watan Parasti" with their ethnic groups but I rarely see them being called out over it, it seems if one wishes to promote Pakistan or improve one becomes an "Watan parast" but should he try to improve the position for his clan or ethnic group even to the detriment of others, he is seen to be working for his community...)

There is such a thing as nationalism without deifying into idolatry. Loving ones ethnic group or national group and working for its betterment and defending it against enemies is a part of Religion. Just it should know its place.

There is nothing inherently wrong in promoting one's language or ethnic group but as long as it does not damage Pakistan's stability or integrity or compromise on fair play and justice. There are enemies both internal and external who are exploiting this. And Pakistanis should be savvy to this.

Its love for the soil, country (watan), language (zaban), qaum (ethnicity and citizenship) which is natural.......plunging into herd mentality and blindly saying and doing things like a zombie is side effect of nationalism whether its done in the name of qaum, zaban, religion or watan.
