The same official says that the information that Indian intelligence agencies had leaked to the Indian media about theft of more than 20 thousand kilograms of RDX explosive, 85 thousand detonators and more than 50 thousand meters of detonators fuse in 2006, left no doubt in the minds of the Pakistan security apparatus that the same explosive was smuggled to Pakistan via Afghanistan.
Link? Does he even know how RDX is manufactured? One requires sophisticated procedures for manufacturing this horrendously expensive explosive which is only produced in Ordnance factories under strict safety norms. You can't get a license for its manufacture. It's banned for civilian use. And do these guys even know how much is 20,000kg of RDX?
What was 'missing' was actually
low grade Potassium Nitrate used as fertilizer which can also be used in the manufacture of fireworks. However, small quantities of a few kgs of RDX can be smuggled out, but 20 tonnes???
Only idiots would believe that!
Secondly, what's the big deal? Why is such a hue and cry being made out of this issue? We all know that the Pakistan Establishment has been indulging in this very art since the past three decades in Kashmir and through proxies of the LeT, like the IM across India.
Two can play the game, no? Or is it just the prerogative of Pakistan to do so? Then why shout from the rooftops and cry foul? If at all, both countries need to stop this interference. But with 42 terror training camps established in Pakistan most of which are in Pak Administered Kashmir, and operating since the late 80s, it is easier said than done. The Establishment now cannot dare close down these terror factories due to the fear of a backlash, like what the TTP is doing right now!
All in all, the overall situation sucks big time...
