I think if such type of leader comes in Pakistan and use his force and power to kill corrupts and traitors we will become strong country.He was actually betrayed by his public other wise u.s also invaded afghanistan but afghan taliban never betrayed their leaders and continued to fight against western powers but iraqi public not stand with him for long and it was easy for u.s to change regime and control iraq.It is history of iraqi people .they are not faithful from beginning as they betrayed Hazrat Imam Hussain R.A and Hazrat Ali R.A and martyred these Holy personalities of Islam and never stand with leader in hard times

You should read some history...specially of Saddam's relations with Pakistan. But regarding life of a lion you do know he was found hiding in a hole trying to live a few days more?

He was not hiding but strategically put there to discover him later to boost the impression of success at a specific time.

no doubt Saddam was evil as hell to the Iraqi people

he had some good traits but he basically destroyed his country

in 1988 when this movie was made he was the Arab hero for stopping the Shia revolution from spreading to neighbouring countries

he brought Iraq to a very high status and made it a powerful country

but I cannot support him because he basically rolled his army out into open desert without any air cover during the 1991 Gulf War and poor Iraqi soldiers were decimated

after the High Way of death he asked his Generals not about the Iraqi soldiers who died but rather are the Americans going to stop now or come to Baghdad, he was more worried himself

he never cared about average Iraqi life it was meaningless to him

he helped Palestine and attacked Israel, thats about it
