in fact its hard for me to distinguish between a mig-29 and a su-30!

Because they are earlier su30 varient thats why they dont have cancards.
And diffrence between mig29 and su30 is in its tail extansion between its 2 engiens.

it was my way of saying that it may not be su 30..either su 27 (which india doesnt has) or mig 29

Read the thread.It's the earlier version of the Su 30 bought off the shelf before the MKI modifications.

I cannot share the blind jingoistic support (backed by charts and what not) of Indians regarding this jet.
But I still consider this one of my favorite jets.. if looks could kill.. it was the F-14.. and now this.
