Biggest question is why did Rangers have to step in to help in the first place???

I remember this incident. The kid was being dumb, it was unprofessional. The ranger looked nervous and out of control, his buddies didn't help him, the kid kept reaching for his gun and was shot dead.

Reach for the gun of any police official in any country and see what happens.

The death was tragic though. Had the victim been properly restrained, forced to sit down, he would not have been considered a threat. This was probably because at the time the rangers had recently been deployed and had no law enforcement training. Remember Karachi back then was as dangerous as Baghdad. Bombings, shootings, assassination.

I'm not sure he should have been sentenced in the first place. If he was then he shouldn't be pardoned.

To those banging their heads on the wall, we should go back and take a look at that video. If I remember correctly, there was a case where the guy was acting like a dick and tried to snatch away the rifle from a Rangers personnel. The Rangers then shot him point blank. If this is the same case, then yes, I feel there is a room for pardon. What should be the fate of anyone who tries to snatch a rifle from armed forces personnel?

He wasn't snatching the gun from the ranger but was afraid of him.He was begging him not to shoot but that sofb shot him straight.Yar kab aygi tabdeli? our abnormal president gave him presidential pardon for killing an innocent citizen of this country.Why did they lingered this car for 7 years.

Were they this much strict that they could kill anyone.He could have grabbed him instead of killing.The guy who was killed was a son, brother,father, fiancee or husband of someone.What if he was someone from your family.

Its a touch call but this may have happened in the heat of the moment. In the West, Police officers who kill criminals in the heat of the moment are not prosecuted - yet removed from their duties for life. I see the same should happen with these people.

And I would not forget the year this happened. Terrorism in 2008-2013 was at hits peak and Mobile snatchers were killing people for showing resistance. In such times, you don't have a natural soft heart towards people like these - specially when they are caught red handed.

I don't blame N league - but if the news is spread, that would mean PML(N) is behind it. Watch media channels, specially GEO if it picks up the case and plays with public emotions for days.

lol he was alone and there was 5 6 rangers personal. According to judgment, ranger personal committed a crime and got sentenced. But he got pardon from President as SHAHZEB murderer got etc etc etc ..!!!!!

Its not about who is killing who . It All About Justice System ..!!
