The Martial race theory is fairly obsolescent now...
There is a little characteristic passed on.. but that is more of an imprint of society..and removes itself over the ages.
There are races that are mistrusting of others simply because in their history they have had bad experiences.. so that is passed down..usually not by direct indoctrination.. but by the observations of the newer generations seeing their predecessors...once these people have a different exposure to the world.. the opinion may change.
Take a sikh or Pathan..raise him in an effeminate environment filled with ballet,cotton candy and fashion.. see if he carries his supposed martial traits.
The same applies to Maratha,Punjabi's and Germans.
