1) Non gandhi govt was until recently an aberration for India. so the gandhis had 36 years of direct + 10 yr by proxy (MMS) rule over India.

2) There is a muslim/Christian connection in that family as they were denied entry to Pashupati temple (Sonia & Rajiv) , nepals holiest and only for hindus.

3) During their reign , missionaries had a free run in India , to the point that India was about to sign a treaty with vatican to give public funding to the church/priests in india to stop "human trafficking "

It is very, very interesting how similar it is to the situation in Sri Lanka with the UNP party (appears to be the equivalent of Congress party in India). Side note: Whilst reading the articles AugenBlick linked to it occured to me (I've thought about it before) how followers belonging to the Dharmic religions (Hinduism/Buddhism/Jainism/Sihkhism) really do not have a world media organisation that can get their viewpoints across. The west has CNN/BBC/Yahoo and a whole lot of tools at its disposal, and this is what inspired the creation of Al Jazeera so to get the Muslim world's opinions across to a global audience. I wonder whether the Dharmic peeps can get a world media organization like that? Would be cool IMO.

Actually we don't have the concept of religion ... there is no word for religion in Hindi for example and "Dharma " which is used as the word actually means duty.
The fact is islam/Xtianity are more political movements than religions or atleast religions as we know them to be. In both of them there is a "Believer" and a "Non-Believer" world. Muslims are searching for that Caliphate that grants "straight to heaven" entry ( á la Mr. Shehzad ) and Xtians are waiting for the 2nd coming and wanna harvest souls for direct entry to the heavens .
To answer your question , we don't have a single viewpoint as our religions never had a political dimension. Thats why we were colonized. On the plus side we don't have $hit like blasphemy etc.

He is trying to get friendly with Communal forces,now that he realizes he was maligned so badly in NY after he tried to instigate a riot he is trying to make amends as the MSM is made weak by PMO who gives more importance to DD and Its national channels, this a important move by PM Modi to push to the front DD radio and tv channels over Private MSM i guess there are a lot of think thanks and Ajit Doval involved behind this move to put DD in front and the plan is working so far so good.

yes, he is a TV News anchor and is currently at Headlines Today. He was earlier at CNN-IBN for about a decade.
He has vilified and demonized my present PM-Narendra Modi for the last 10 years.

Yep, he dislikes the BJP (the Right-wing Party ruling India) and any RW Dharmic organisations.
He strongly supports the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party(Both are Left-Wing+Liberal Parties)

I have another question... is there a Christian connection?

I've always wondered whether these sorts of characters have some sort of foreign funding. Because they are so deeply unpopular in their countries amongst the majority and always seem to be championed by a small coterie of westernised (often Christian) elites. Where do they get their inordinate amount of influence from?

Yes,my friend there is a strong Christian(Evangelist) Connection and in India's case a Muslim Connection too(From the Gulf by Wahaabi Arabs).

People like Rajdeep and Lasantha are funded/supported by Evangelists to ridicule our culture,our religion and our ways. These people believe that it is their duty to bring us pagans 'out of Darkness'(Convert us by hook or crook to Christianity).

And these people support and spread propaganda in favour of the Party which can support their Mission(as I stated above).
They will always Demonise those who they feel are their enemies and who can stop them.(For eg:- Narendra Modi)

These people always work together to spread their agenda, they are funded millions of Dollars by the West(mostly from the USA)

Due to their working together as one group AND the funding from the west, they get a lot of influence. The fact that they are biased towards a political party helps in receiving favours from it

2)Do you have any parties which are like the Congress in Sri Lanka(the UMP??)

4) What do Sri Lankan Buddhists think about Hindus and Hinduism??
