The munshi was the Muslim historian Muhammad Qasim Hindu Shah, born in 1560 and the author of the Tarikh-i Firishta and the Gulshan-i Ibrahim who gave these figures.

Iran was zorashtrian, Afghans were Hindus.

One of the last Hindu king of Afghanistan was Kamalavarman who fought the Trukish and won. The last king was Jayapaladeva who lost (kabul) and continued to rule parts of his kingdom from punjab.

Buddhist have stupas and Monasteries. Usually built into caves.
