What's new

Raiwind Ijtama and alike religious gatherings, should be banned in Pakistan.

The world is retarded for closing down everything, right? Because coronavirus definitely is equivalent of flu.

How many deaths is it going to take for you and others to come to their senses.

The virus spread in Gaza because of a religious gathering here in Pakistan which 2 Palestinians took part in.
Then a doctor got infected who went to such a gathering.

I think our brains are lost in the gutter. This is a wake up call and a message to anyone who was saying Pakistani society isn't hijacked by religious extremism.

Wuhan Virus is milder than Flu.

Flu killed more people in the US than Wuhan virus till date.

. .
I see no Islamic purpose being served with Ijtima of Raiwind.
IMO, it serves more harm to Islam than good.

If people like to connect with each other in numbers more than 5, whatever the reason may be (exception 1st marriage), they shall use skype.

People shall be free to visit officially designated places of worship, only and only for obligatory worship.
This rule shall be applied to all, indiscriminately.

Only occasion and place, Muslims shall gather is Hajj and Mecca and that too once in life time. Second visit shall be taxed.

Officially recognized religious festivals in Pakistan shall be ... example:
1st Ramadan one day holiday for all.
Eid Fitar 2 day holiday for all, 7 days for Muslims.
Eid Adha 2 day holiday for all, 7 days for Muslims.
Christmas 2 day holiday for Christians only.
Diwali 1 day holiday for Hindus only.
Birthday of Guru Nanak 1 day for Sikhs only.

Raiwind ijtema is always in November. it’s not a official holiday and it will never be official holiday. November is long time from now, hopefully by June all this corona drama will be over.

And why do you think its not a problem for religious gathering like Jumma/Hajj/Umraa and raiwaind Ijtima,
In Quraan Allah also said JO QOUM KHUD KO NAHI BATDALTI HUM BHI US KI HATAL TABDEEL NAHI KARTE

learn to read.... where did I say religion gathering is not a problem?
I only mentioned about Ijtema because they take place in November. Why idiots are talking about Ijtema in March? Jummah is already closed in many countries. Pray at home, no one can stop anyone but libtarded don’t care about religion.
In my opinion masjid should be Closed temporarily until we can control the situation. Anyone with symptoms should self quarantine. If government think that COViD-19 will spread in Pakistan, they should order total lockdown until vaccine is developed.

Prayers and gatherings need to be banned for the time being of this pandemic. There is no Islamophobia. If a white guy said it, we would probably be calling him racist, and that's just because of how insecure we are about these topics. Unfortunately.

Tablighi ijtema aren't happening already

Don't know why this Islamophobic thread is open

LAHORE/LAYYAH: Some 27 members of Tableeghi Jamaat out of 35 screened at the Tableeghi Markaz in Raiwind tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday while another member of the religious outfit put in a quarantine in Layyah stabbed and injured a police officer in a bid to escape.

Around 1,200 people, including over 500 foreigners, were attending the five-day congregation before leaving for three-day, 40-day or four-month preaching missions. They are camped in an open space adjacent to the Markaz.

Earlier, Punjab government officials had requested the organisers to postpone the congregation in view of the virus threat, but they did not pay any heed to it. But when the organisers had a change of heart and stopped the congregation four days ago, the government-announced lockdown had come into effect with no transport and air services available to take them home.

The station house officer (SHO) was injured in Layyah when the Tableeghi Jamaat member attacked him with a knife in an attempt to escape. Later, the police and district administration approached the organisers and with their permission cordoned off the Markaz and no one was allowed to enter or leave the place for the last three days.

On Saturday, the Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, contacted the authorities to evacuate their 50 citizens from the Tableeghi Markaz. The health department conducted screening of the Thai citizens who tested negative for the virus. They were shifted to Islamabad from where they were flown to their country by a private jet.

Lahore Deputy Commissioner Daanish Afzaal told Dawn that they had sealed the Markaz three days ago and started conducting screening of the people there. He said the health authorities had so far screened 35 members residing at the Markaz and alarmingly 27 tested positive for coronavirus. “We are also setting up a quarantine at the Markaz and if the number of patients increases they would be shifted to the Kala Shah Kaku quarantine centre,” Mr Afzaal said.

He said the suspected persons would be self-isolated at Kala Shah Kaku and those who tested positive for coronavirus would be shifted to a field hospital at Expo Centre in Johar Town.

The Layyah administration had gathered all the Tableeghi teams on preaching missions in the district and declared the local Markaz a quarantine centre housing 235 people.

On Sunday, police were informed that some people were trying to escape from the centre. When SHO Mohammad Ashraf Maakhi reached the spot with a team, a Tableeghi Jamaat member stabbed him and escaped.

Police spokesperson sub-inspector Nadeem said the SHO sustained injuries and was shifted to the DHQ Hospital in Layyah, where his condition was stated to be stable.

Police later apprehended the accused from Swabi district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Why not... they only serve harm.
They are not serving any harm if one epidemic has spread stop trying to find excuses to blame it on them. Entire world failed in countering this epidemic

. .
If you want to go to those extremes then all schools should be closed permanently and students rely on internet classes
All supermarkets permanently closed and home delivery.
All offices should be closed permanently and people should work from home?

See the subject. Read OP. I say all alike gatherings. i.e. any gathering in the name of religion, besides designated worship places shall be banned. We know the names of worship places of all most all religions in Pakistan.
This proposal is not for temporary period, it's for indefinite period.

This is concerning all religions. Hope this part is clarified.

Tablighi Ijtima is taken as one example, because that group is relatively reasonable. Proof is in the cancelling of Ijtima, upon request of Imran Khan.
If i had used Shia as an example... you can imagine where we end up with discussion. FIGHTERs Already calling names and cursing.

Wuhan Virus is milder than Flu.

Flu killed more people in the US than Wuhan virus till date.

My proposal is not for the reasons of flu.
With respect to Islam... only obligatory gathering besides Salat is Hajj, which Al-Hamdullilah is in safe hands.
So we shall have same scale for other religions as well.

They apparently failed to understand the purpose of cancellation of Ijtima.
This is where regime failed miserably... educating the masses and screening travelers from abroad.
Besides two facts, this news prove nothing. Otherwise you are also able to google about the carrier of virus to US.

Has this year's Hajj been banned yet?
I'd be very surprised if it was allowed to go ahead this year.

I don't think so early. They will probably wait and see if it's brought under control.

Wuhan Virus is milder than Flu.

It's not milder than flu. Its' symptoms are more severe than that of flu. The reason more people die from flu is because much more people experience it each year, in combination with other hazards, specially for the elderly.

Now imagine this. You allow people to proceed as normal. Every other person contracts the corona virus because that's just how contagious it is, it spreads via touch, aerosol drops, off surfaces, through air for a couple hours, and so on. The cases reach 200,000... your country can't take care of that many people, it doesn't have the facilities, the numbers or the equipment.

What will happen? Without the equipment to facilitate and look after each patient, people will die. Even younger ones will die, and what you will see happening is a lot more people dying each day. As long as the number of people infected is kept lower than the capacity of the medical system, we can have a minimal number of deaths.

Pretty easy stuff, and common sense. I fear that you lack common sense though.
