Well if baloch are not taken onboard, it will reiterate the opinion that the punjabi establishment controls their resources.

Obviously, RAW, KGB and Iranians will sieze this opportunity to further alienate the baloch population from the centre.

The insurgency would get out of control once the BALOCH MIDDLE CLASS gets pulled into it. At the moment, some baloch tribesmen and their sardars are involved but soon the VIRUS OF REBELLION will reach the middle class; which will be catastrophic.

Only an establishment as idiotic as ours hands over ports to foreign countries in their capitals (beijing) without ever consulting the locals.

That is obvious that enemies can manipulate things, but that doesn't mean you give in to idiots like Raisani. Obviously the bigger issue is that Zardari Sahab (Sindhi dude, not Punjabi) has still not booted him out.

Bypassing/ignoring Raisani will only help him in getting POPULAR AMONGST THE BALOCH

Recently he was attacked by BLA terrorists for speaking in favour of Gwadar port and employment opportunities for Baloch Pakistanis.

So apparently in my view if he is getting popular among Baloch Pakistani public then its good but if by that phrase you mean he is going to be popular among BLA terrorists then a bad omen for himself too.

Raisani rejects Pakistan China Gawadar Port deal

The Provincial Chief Minister, Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani, has rejected the Pakistan-China deal on Gawadar Port saying that he was not consulted, thus he was dissatisfied with the deal.

The federal defence minister had disclosed that the Chinese government had agreed to a request from Pakistan to take over Gawadar Port Operation once the tenure of Singapore Port Authority expired.

He also disclosed that the Pakistan government had also requested China to build a naval base in Gawadar.

Talking to journalists on Saturday night, Nawab Aslam Raisani said that his government was not consulted and with such decisions, the sense of deprivation would increase among the people of Balochistan.

He recalled the decision of the federal cabinet nominating the chief minister (Raisani) as chairman of the Gawadar Port Authority and a notification had been issued in this regard.

He said he had been demanding, from day one, to end the operations of the Singapore Port Authority and the provincial government should be allowed to operate the port. He said that the government is competent and capable to operate the Gawadar Port.

The chief minister said that he had talked to President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on several occasions and now he would talk to the federal government on the issue. He said that the sense of deprivation was very sharp among the people of Balochistan.

He said the government announced the Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan Package but it was not implemented to this date and not to mention the NFC Award and the 18th Constitutional Amendment.

Sharply attacking the federal policies, the chief minister said that the additional financial burden of the federal ministries had been shifted to the federating units which, he termed “totally unfair and unjust”. “On one hand, the federal government is making promises to end the sense of deprivation and on the other 85 percent development schemes of Balochistan are being slashed,” Raisani told newsmen.
