Railways denies Chinese firms’ locomotive manufacturing projects for non-compliance

Good work by the Railways going in for quality but having stated that what is going to happen to the existing Locomotive manufacturing plant in Varanasi and diesel restoration plant in Golden Rock? Why not modernize these existing plants instead of setting up not just one plant listed above in Mahowra - there are plans for one more in Madhepura - ofcourse both are going to be in Bihar. Is it because the previous railway minister, Laloo when the plans were set into motion was from Bihar?

Indian companies on the Chinese company's prejudices, biases do not give up the development of Sino-Indian trade is difficult,

Bihar needs the loco factories. afterall, it is the need of Bihar to get connected to all the big cities across India - you know the reason.

Yes, I am puzzled myself. Greed is one thing, but if a country and its people do not like you, go somewhere else.

The stipulations are made according to the requirements not on the basis of countries .

Operating in three Countries doesn't mean quality..........Just Saying
But I would love to see Japanese or French engines.

well,a lot of American and European companies delivered locos to India, including Indian companies as well.so,if they don't have any problem doing that, what is problem with Chinese Company.the request is weird.by the way, reason of that specific rule is to check past records of those engines, nothing more.

well, thats what happenthe sophistication and poshness of chinese trains.s when you are in trolling mode...if you type "Indian Railway",this page opens...

which has at least thousand pics.but you've chosen 3.that showed your intention.now buzz off...

To be honest, the other pictures are only slithly better and far from Chinese sophistication and poshness.

IMO the requirement for working in 3 countries is absurd rather they should have taken into consideration of safety record for last 5-10 years, that would have given a better picture.

Chinese have world class infrastructure n nobody can deny that.

And allowing Chinese firms would have definitely increase the level of competition. After all its our hard earned tax money that goes into railway budget every year.

to be honest,Indian railway isn't something for developed country.its part of poor indians' life.we don't make something like luxury coach which only rich people can afford.Indian Railway created most important and vast link in India and yet it is cheap, far cheaper than any country around the world.here, people just travel, they don't think about cozy coach where Champagne will be served.

for that, you can ride Indian Railway's Maharaja Express,"The World's Leading Luxury Train"..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maharaja_Express

there are several others luxury tourist train..if ever you will visit India, shell out few hundreds Euro and get a "Sawari" in those trains.you'll know what i meant.

Nobody is saying that Indian Railways has better trains or infrastructure than Chinese Railways.

But such comments n pictures only shows the mentality n intentions of majority of Chinese members who just come here to troll in Indian section.
