Nice to see the increase in revenues, but what is their profit after taxes, interest expenses, depreciation and amortisation?

That's where the devil hides.

Although the way they have raised the fares means that they can be profitable.

.
They need to boost non-fare/freight revenues and work on safety issues.

There are other long-term challenges. The nature of economy is changing and it may not be material intensive at all. For instance, it is possible that RE cud substantially become cheaper and cut into thermal power's share. In that case coal- the bulk of freight load- could be severely impacted.

Most revenue comes froim Tamilnadu and Karnataka,

Tamil Nadu revenues are slighting dipping because of ticketless travel by migrant Hindia-ans.

The largest circulation paper in India in 2014m Thinathanthi, reported that ticketless travel increased multifold because of migrants bringing their cusom in north of traveling without tickets.

Nice try faker. Firstly revenue is not calculated state wise, rather zone wise, and secondly 70% of the railway revenue is generated by freight traffic and not passenger traffic. North Central and West Central are the most profitable zones of the Indian railways.

I am not an Indian. I am a Tamil Nadan.

Your data is 5 years old from 20112. Post recent revenues.

I never said passenger traffic generates more than goods traffic.

Yes you are a Tamil who can't read Tamil

Central and the Western zones are the most profitable zones of the Indian railways, year in year out. Learn to google and dig out the latest data.

Increase in revenue is good but it should be complemented with decrease in expenditure. If there is a 10% increase in revenues and 20% increase in expenditure then it will make no sense. Increase in revenue is good but profitability is what matters at the end of day.

False flagger... he is thinking Tamils are against India... i hope he say something against India in TN and check the response.

.
Indian Railway is actually for service/connecting India and not for profit making... any how Modi govt forced to show some profits so that sickulars/presstitutes stop barking on future super fast lines.

I think Modi want to build quadrilateral Super-fast railway lines parallel to road so that we connect 80% Trade/business routes in India.
