Can Pakistan make a railgun? have they started any project to manufacture those?

. .
very little practicality. Can only be used on ships.

.
thats so limited thinking...

the british were so victorious becoz of their navy

US keeps improving its navy.. rapidly developing more n more HUGE warships to keep on top of the world

NAVY is the way to go forward..

besides... today's railguns are too big... but in the future they will improve n get smaller n smaller

@seljuki

are you Seljuk by chance?? They seem to love guns and swords :D

.
stereotyping ppl? that is the slave mentality british left in asia.

. . .
Seriously, can Pakistan manufacture railguns? they have greater range and velocity than normal projectiles.

a small one? any interested highschooler could. military ones? so far non is operational, only the US is openly getting somewhat close to deployment, of course there are other usual suspects who are probably also working in the area like china, russia, europeans. so basically no.

Railguns are not currently cost effective. No point in trying to make them.

funding for the U.S. Navy railgun project was pulled earlier this year. As well as the Navy free electron laser project. Don't look for them coming back till another president and secdef are in place.
