As a Sunni myself, I don't like to pick sides or get involved in the kind of infighting that our enemies want --- and definitely am against an alliance that is obviously formed for one political purpose (yet is being advertised as an anti-terror one). It should be all-inclusive. Israel often states that Saudi is one of their main allies; simply because Saudi is so threatened by Iranian influence, it is willing to go to any means (like supporting violent extremists, partnering with a regime like Israel, etc.).

The problem is that Saudi Arabia's main tool is money and the financing of a specific brand of Islam (through madrassas, "scholars," etc., as we see in Pakistan); unfortunately, almost all research points to "Islamic terrorists" following this same intolerant and "Takfeeri" brand. It's a dangerous game. There are some on this forum who are clearly influenced by this same intolerant strain/interpretation of our beautiful religion and they strongly feel as if this is the only way to follow Islam --- sorry to burst your bubble, but it is open to interpretation, which is why there are sects, fiqhs, sub-sects and so on.

Nobody is saying Iran is an angel --- every country looks after its interests and plays dirty. This discussion is about the questionable nature of this so-called military alliance. Gen Shareef should focus on his own country by educating young minds, working for veteran affairs, etc., as he promised.

If Iraq and Syria and Yemen would have been a country, there would have been no need for this alliance. Who will give money and military support on the behalf of Iraq ? US or Iran ? And who will give that from Syrian side ? Russia ?

Iran will not join the force itself. Still the alliance will become reality and GRS will command it.

Anyone who questions Iran is not sectarian. Enough of this card. Why should Iran has its influence on Arab world ? they are Persian. Arab and Persia have been enemies of each other throughout the history. After US invasion of Iraq, Iran has got an opportunity to materialize her dreams in the Arab world through her sectarian mercenaries. well iranians were invited by still internationally recognized syrian president ( even though i hate him for the mess he created to save his power but world recognize him as president and that is a fact too ) all the proxies should be destroyed and eliminated in muslim world

the only way is to invite all oic members to contribute in the army regardless of sects, colour, race etc... and they can operate in the danger zones or conflict zones easily without any hurdles....

why not start from libya and make it safe and show that this military alliance is serious and then show it to iran that it is a neutral alliance nuthing to do with sects and then get iran on board and then move to other areas like iraq syria afganistan

Better Idea ! Begin with yemen as its a neutral place. But objective should be strictly providing the peace.

Some of his pet wordswere pure Persian which r not used in urdu so this guy had been in iran for sure plus he is just bashing without knowing who are in this alliance and what is this now he thinks Pakistan will work against shia .
