Your missing the point here. There is a world of differance bettwen private dealing/favours and state/organization dealings. I know UK has now preparing to leave EU via Brexit but I want you to consider Poland and UK. EU and NATO.@Indus Pakistan what was wrong in sending Raheel to Saudis? We managed both sides and stayed out of Yemen as well. If the purpose was to achieve our objective we did well.
Yes Raheel has performed less than what was expected from him like a $100 billion went to USA in a sec without US tasting any thing from it but we did okay with this whole show. Iran is closer and Saudis are more dependent.
The problem of Pakistan is we cannot throw away both Saudis and Iranians we have to find a balance among them and the Yemen war is the biggest exam Pakistan faced and we have done well in that. We did not killed a single Muslim in Yemen and yet we achieved diplomacy on both ends.
- When a Pole arrives at Heathrow Airport he is allowed into UK. Not as favour because the immigration officer likes him. Not because May is buddy with Polish PM. The Pole is allowed in not as some sort of favour either because well he is Christian. And Pole is not going to thank the British immigration officer. Indeed the Pole has a right, yes a legal right to come to UK. Well where does this right come from? It comes from legal treaty between UK and Polish states via EU. Meaning this is not about PM May and PM of PM Morawiecki. They can hate each other but Poles can come to UK subject to the legal treaty because the relationship is not about individuals but about the British state and Polish state.
- If tommorow Poland faces any military threat British military will go on red alert and if needed will be deployed in Poland side by side with Polish Army. This is not because the ex COAS of Polish Army got a job in UK or the British COAS got a job in Poland. No the help is legal requirement under treaty called NATO. Meaning UK as a state is by law obligated to help Poland and vice versa not as discretion or favour but by legal obligation.
In case of Pakistan our elites have built up a corrupt person 2 person relationships and with hell to Pakistan as a state. So if Raheel goes to KSA he is treated like a VIP but if a ordinary Pakistani like you and I go they will through us out like dogs unless we have job visa and Saudi sponsor - Kafeel. Meaning unless you don't have a Saudi individual as a 'mate' or employer your going to be one dog too many at the airport. You can cry hoarse that you are 'Bakistani' brother. Meaning we have zero state to state relationship or if we have it carries little value. While your being thrown out like a dog you might see a Indian walking past through immigration into KSA because he has a 'kafeel.
Now compare this with UK and Poland. A Polish builder lands at Heathrow. He will walk in unobstructed under the treaty obligation between UK and Poland [notwithstanding upcoming Brexit] and indeed will use the aisle marked "EU". The Indian builder will not be able to walk through the same aisle and will line up in "international". He an then cry all he wants like "I am the best builder on earth, I will work 16 hours a day for £10 a week" blah blah but he will not be allowed into UK. Simply because UK has no such legal relationship with India.
What I am saying is Pakistan needs to develop institutional ,legal treaty relationships with KSA and not private one to one, discretionery favours where now and then they chuck some money over to us or accord VIP status to some Pakistanis that they take a liking to because they think that will offer them some advantage.
