Sometimes when person has young age and has less experience of life he may harm himself if he is given freedom to decide.Parents have more experience of life and it is good to take them in confidence when marrying someone so parents are always sincere to children and their consent in marriage of woman is needed. Many women are doing jobs in saudia there is no ban on freedom of women the problem is this women went against law of land and culture. In west there is no freedom for women completely if they want to wear against western culture and their is ban on wearing veil so it is not fair to limit so called freedom to Muslims country only

If she had freedom then why is a death sentence awaiting her? Apostasy is punishable by death in KSA.
You yourself said that she must obey her parents in marriage even though that is against actual Islamic Law and you called her a "pornstar" and a "prostitute" just because she fled the country ignoring that her parents had violated her rights, ignored her consent in marriage and KSA considers her a criminal for merely not believing in Islam.

I know many from religious families who later became atheist/agnostic/converted to another religion but the difference is in here they are treated as human beings who made a decision in what they believe in. Considering them criminals or calling for their death is inhuman.

You justified Forced Marriage and you justified Religious Oppression.
This is not a thing about the West. Stop sayings its about western culture when you are violating her BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS.

.
In u.s people are killed and beaten on racism and they kill many innocent Muslims in their countries where does human rights go then no country in world takes care of human right when you are doing what they not like. She was not punished to death she was given money by west to defame Islam and was committing treason wit her country when you break oath you commit treason and your punishment is death

In any part of the civilized world racism is illegal. When a person is killed for his race or religion it is a crime. Freedom of Religion is guaranteed in the constitutions of most countries. Only a few countries filled with nut cases that are insecure about their faith have apostasy laws. Most countries have Anti-Hate speech laws which made it illegal to encourage harm or violence against others based on race religion or disability

Now you are making up fairy tales to hide your own Mysoginy and Hate speech. You made sexist insults towards her and you said this,

what she is doing is not justified she should follow her parents orders to marry any man after consultaion with them as parents have spended money and time in upbringing her so she should obey them in return as her parents play important role in bringing her life in this world

The "west paying her" LOL. You yourself said that he needs to marry the person her parents want her to marry even though it is illegal according to Islamic law. The Male Guardianship law itself is a violation of Human Rights and a law created by maliciously misinterpreting religious texts.

If her parents wanted something that obeys them without question then they should have taken a doll or a robot. Not have a human child that can think have emotions and dreams

Her choice and that’s that.
On another note she does seem to like the limelight, her posts on Instagram seem strange for a girl whose life is in danger.

.
She will be the next big Pron star flapping her big rear end for everyone to watch... So be it.

.
Pure exploitation of disturbed teenage girl by Western Media, there are tons of girls all around world who go through much worse. No one gets such publicity.

Canadian govt is doing this to get Saudi attention. Pathetic.

I feel sad for her family, they must be going through worst.

.
West doing same propaganda about Turkey now they started it doing aganist Saudi Arabia. You should be smart and act smart .

.
I am not a fan of Wahhabism or Saudi Bastards yeah I hate Saudis but the b..tch wants to leave for money typical Arab w..hore wanting to make it big I mean when I was 18 I worked in a warehouse while this b...tch gets to go on a trip to Thailand her family must be rich probably abused some Pinoy or Indonesian maid man F...ck the Gulf Arabs
It seems you are gifted with good culture and great language.
Keep it up.

Really? Insulting her but refuses to criticize the death for apostasy law in KSA or the Male Guardianship system both disgusting insults towards Human rights

Has other women who escaped the KSA become pornstars? Do you think she is the first to escape that hell hole? After the Dina Ali Lasloom incident the UN is watching for any refugees escaping KSA. Trying to kidnap them and torture them isn't going to work anymore

And of course the best you can do is insult a 18 year old girl and call her a "pornstar" Killing people for their religion is alright and women must not be allowed to make any decision without a male's permission. No wonder she didn't want to be with bigoted, sexist religious fanatics

It seems you are gifted with good culture and great language.
Keep it up.

They are just showing how manly they are by insulting a 18 year old girl with sexual insults just because she didn't want to live as a slave under the male guardianship laws or follow a religion she certainly didn't believe in.

.
initially told to return to Kuwait, where her family were waiting.
punishable by death in Saudi Arabia.
So she told to go back to Kuwait while author needed to add spice so added Saudi in the picture to get some cookie?

Now a days it is easier to get asylum by denouncing Islam than by smuggling though Thailand.

Oh well! I am sure if she does a wrong, Canada will not announce her Arab background after all they chose her, right?

A teen not old enough to get married and take on responsibilities but old enough to denounce a religion / way of life...
