Rafale purchase? Does it figure anywhere in BD's strategic planners?

These aids are bollocks, even un aids are a gimmick. i worked for a un campaign in bangladesh, basically we did a marketing campaign in the rural parts of bangladesh. The campaign overall cost was around 70 lacs on just advertisement. Most of these aids go in the pocket of administrations and running cost. Every meeting we went in UN for we were given special eating box from coopers (its a high end bakery in dhaka). Also did a campaign with free the children, all gimmicks to basically pocket the aid given. Also did a campaign with IOM and BD government (international organization of migration) on giving financial support to returning migrants from libya. Basically returnees would receive 50,000 each. But for this BD government and IOM decided to stage a biiig campaign with hotlines which it barely needed. Just a simple advertisement on the tv and airports would have been sufficient. But we took it on a much grander level and charged the bd government and iom 42 lacs which they gladly paid lol. Point is most of the aids are wasted through bureaucratic processes and dont get me started on NGOs.... Big NGOs are like corporations that avoid tax with loopholes such as brac ...did a campaign with them aswell...but thats a loooong story......banglaedsh is full of bloody dalals...dalals foooooking everywhere.

Many of the NGOs are 'Five Star Activists'..its a term used to describe people who do social work out of Five Star Hotels.

Ofcourse like in everything else the people who do real social work are ignored.

i don't think BD should be concerned with the MRCA. The current relations are very friendly between us, we have nothing to gain by antagonising BD.

A prospering and developing BD will be hugely beneficial for India and GOI should make every effort to have amicable relations with Bangladesh.

I don't think I have trolled. Like any professional org,BD airforce will need to take all changes in equipment around them into consideration. I was simply asking if the Rafale purchases have ruffled any feathers or does BD AF does not care.

BD does'nt care and most of all does'nt have to bother. The Rafales are not an adversory to the BD Air Force. Then the planners in BD are not given to "knee-jerk" reactions. BD has been following an entirely rational hardware acquisition plan based on BD's requirements and resources.

This thread is misplaced.

And then we wonder, why Bangladeshis are starting to dislike us?

@OP Sirf bara desh hein hum, to khwam khwah kyun panga le rahe hein?

if india attacks BD(which am sure will never be the case) then BAF will fall in the current situation but if bangladesh can add mobile sams like the chinese built croatle and smt upgraded mig-29s,with some vietnam style GCI and tactics it can give the IAF a bloody nose which will be enough for india to quit.

There are plenty of examples of weaker side winning the war. Like our Badr, the first war of muslim. You have to have faith in Allah. Hindus and atheist have different view here so plz no comment from them. Win does not come by most advance rifle, tank, jet, ship etc etc. Win comes from Allah. Allah decide who wins. Someone said we are surrounded by india 3 sides, well, I can say that we are into the belly of India. We will be cancer and spread it to the rest of the body.

Did he just say Bangladesh is a cancer? :woot:

India have a good medical industry and can help them. ;)

We dont need to defeat India, all we need is enough arsenal to flatten out kolkata. West bengal has a bigger economy than bangladesh. We need some good sams, some good missilies and a few j 10s. Basically to show India that we can do some real damage and they have more to lose economically.

you have so much cruel intention. If you attack our kolkata with few sam's and few bird's like J-10's. do you think we will sit back and watch your action. you can damage little bit . but we can destroy entire country within few hours. a dozen brahmos is enough for dhaka, it will send you stone age. common buddy, come out from evil thinking. btw are you really living in canada???? come out from dreams....

i dont have any cruel intentions...its for our defense....MAD = mutually assured distruction...if you attack us...we will attack you aswell....we dont trust indians....thats all, its for our defense.

lol....why are you trolling man...?

they are ordering these antiques (f-7 bgi) and you are asking them if they are buying rafale....

This is the pic of our 'F-7BG', not the newest "F-7BGI"...
No one have seen F-7BGI model.

Please compare sensibly...How F-7 is comparable to Rafale???!!

But, our F-7BG can be comparable to your MiG-21Bison...

Here it is:

F-7BG vs MiG-21Bison
..............................

Reasons why the Chengdu F-7BG Skybolt is superior to the Mikoyan MiG-21-93 “Bison” Fishbed:

1. F-7BG (2200km) has over twice the range than the Bison (around 1000km).
2. F-7BG has an aerodynamically superior design.
3. F-7BG has a strengthened airframe, it is built with the latest technology while Bison still dwells on the 1970s era MiG-21bis design.
4. F-7BG has superior cannon armament; F-7BG has 2x 30mm cannon while Bison has 1x 23mm cannon.
5. F-7BG has more hardpoints; F-7BG - 5 and Bison - 4.
6. F-7BG has superior HMS with +/-90° while Bison has +/-45°.
7. F-7BG has more efficient and reliable engine.
8. F-7BG has better cockpit and man machine interface.
9. F-7BG has full night time operations capability, with night vision goggles compatibility there is yet to see prove of this on the Bison.
10. Multimode radar with BVR capability. F-7BG (BAF), F-7PG (PAF) and F-7G (PLAAF) can fire the advanced PL-12 MRAAM with range of 70+km.
11. F-7BG has almost twice as more fuel.
12. F-7BG has greater strike capability with the capability to deliver 2x LS-6 PGMs which are comparable to US JDAM and have range of 60km, additionally it can carry 250/500kg low-drag general-purpose or anti-runway bombs, BL755 600lb cluster bomb, 200kg anti-runway bomb as well as 57/90/130mm unguided rockets. F-7BG has night strike capability with Stand off Raptor 1 (H2) and LGB capability.
13. F-7BG has greater AAM options; AIM-9, PL-2/2A, PL-5B, PL-7, PL-9C, PL-11 PL-12, R.550 and Russian R-series AAMs.
14. F-7BG has greater climb rate.
15. F-7BG has a greater maximum speed; F-7BG (Mach 2.35) while the Bison (Mach 2.10).
16. F-7BG does not have any stalling issues due to the merged double-delta wing design. The strong vortex of the inner wing re-energises the boundary layer of the outer wing, preventing span-wise flow towards the tips. This allows even more carefree manoeuvring at ultra-low speeds.
17. F-7BG has better RWR.
18. F-7BG has MAW sensors on rear, starboard and port sides.
19. F-7BG is more manoeuvrable than the Bison with a G-Limit of around +8.5.
20. F-7BG can operate from shorter runways; it has lower take-off and landing speeds and distances.
21. F-7BG has a greater turning rate; with maximum instantaneous turn rate of 25.2 degrees/sec while the maximum sustained turn rate is around 16 degrees/sec.
22. F-7BG has 84% combat effectiveness.
23. F-7BG is 43% better in close combat.
24. F-7BG has twice more time interval between overhauls compared to the MiG-21 Bison.
25. The trainer version of the F-7BG; the tandem twin-seat FT-7BG is also combat fully capable; it has 1x 30mm cannon and 4 hardpoints which can fire PL-7 and PL-9C AAMs as well as PGMs, LGBs, unguided bombs and rockets.

I have fully listed why the F-7BG is superior to the Bison. The F-7BG s almost a new aircraft from the aging the MiG-21 series; it features improvements over the MiG-21 Bison in all aspects.

With advanced BVRAAM capability, strike capability, night-time operations capability and better in a turn, dive and climb the F-7BG outclasses the MiG-21 Bison.

The F-7BG is mostly a new airframe design with advanced radar, engine, avionics, etc. while the MiG-21 Bison is in fact the same old MiG-21bis of the early 1970s (which in turn is mostly based on the 1960s era MiG-21MF) with just some new avionics, radar, engine, weapons capability and a new canopy.

* Now, let's talk about our upcoming F-7BGI.

F-7BGI China's Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group Company F-7-based research and development of new models, equipped with improved airborne equipment, including - - - hand throttle lever, hands on the bar, control device (HOTAS) ,control device, three multi-function cockpit displays and a HUD. The machine also has the ability to use guided weapons, the use of GPS signals to transmit high-precision air-guided bombs. The machine also has GPS system for navigation bomb throwing ability due to Bangladesh's orders.

* F-7BGI is greatly BVR capable,,,so, It will have a different looks and nose for it's new radar...

I guess BAF 's F-7BGI will look like any one of these F-7 models/variants/...

Who knows...???!!!

Those F-7s were ordered long before the our MMRCA deal was finalized. The F-7 order had nothing to do with India's MMRCA. It was intended to replace the BAF's aging A-5s and act as a 'stop gap'.

Bangladesh Air Force plans to buy new fighter aircraft, and most promising candidate models, including the U.S. F-16 and Russia's MiG-29SMT/M1-M2. In addition, Sweden's JAS-39 and Russian Su-30 will also participate in the competition.

Please, guys listen up...Bangladesh is a peaceful and peace loving country. We don't like war. We are trying to improve our defence for our own. We like to remain defensive. It doesn't indicate any threat to our neighbor. And we are not tensed about our neighbor's defence procurement. At the end of the day, the most funny thing is that who opened this thread is not either a Bangladeshi and or an Indian!!! He just opened and left this...And while we are quarreling each other he may have a popcorn and enjoyment... That's bullshit...!!

That would be last thing that we would worry about BD's army....anyway they are much decent then Pakistan...
